1. What character from a tv show or movie do you most identify with? This is actually a really hard question. The Log Lady from Twin Peaks? No, I wish logs talked to me. I'd say I'm a weird mix between Harold from Harold and Maude and Luna Lovegood, with a little Garth Algar and Sherlock thrown in, but not the rude parts or the smart parts. So really only the socially awkward parts. Just my luck.
2. What character from a tv show or movie do you most wish was your friend? Oh, God, that list would go on forever. I first wanted Superman to be my best friend when I was about 6 and I never really grew out of that. Since then I've just added to the list, which includes Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka, Marius from the Vampire Chronicles, Sherlock, John Watson, The Doctor, Batman...really, I'll just shorten this by saying: every fictional character I've ever liked.
3. Do you consider yourself a romantic? I try to pretend I'm above all that, but my favorite book is Pride and Prejudice and I spend all my free time reading gay love stories about people on TV, so I'm not really sure how effective I am with that. I do tend to shy away from making it known IRL if I have any sort of romantic feelings. But that's... an entirely different discussion about asexuality and my own psychoanalysis of myself which I won't get into here.
4. Do you wish you could move? Where to? I wish I could move out of where I'm currently living, but that's not an option as I'm currently not making enough to do that and I'm needed as a caregiver. If I could live anywhere and have the option of having my family close by still, it would be Lake Tahoe. The place of trees and childhood magic.
5. What is your favorite thing to eat? Cheese, although I'm trying to cut back on that. Been reading too much vegan literature.
6. Night owl or early bird? I kind of like to sleep whenever I'm allowed to and my body gets tired whenever it senses sleep will be possible, and sometimes when it definitely isn't. So neither? But I definitely don't like getting up early, so maybe that means night owl.
7. What is your favorite opening line from a book? Would it be really predictable if I put the first line from Pride and Prejudice here? Just to be contrary, I'll put the first line of the first book I remember being obsessed with, from which my love of vampires was born: "Tony Noodleman was lying in the tub, reading In the House of Count Dracula, when the front doorbell rang." (from The Vampire Moves In, which I think has been in print as The Littlest Vampire for many years since.)
8. What is your current favorite fan fiction? There are currently MANY, But I'll say Envy, Through a Microscope by destinationtoast because MICROLOCK, or Perdition's Flames by i-ship-an-armada. The glorious pain that Sherlock is in! And John! And Spaceships! And Spock! And I can't wait for more. Also, that one she wrote based on Pride and Prejudice. Because it's perfect.
9. What music do you put on when you’re cleaning? The last time I cleaned I listened to the Three Patch Podcast because it was hard enough to stop reading fanfiction long enough to do it. Boy, do I sound obsessive in this here thing.
10. If you had one superpower, what would you choose? The ability to write things which are pleasing to mine and other people's eyes and brains. Does that count? If not, I want the superpower which enables me to grant superpowers to others. (And maybe whenever I grant one, I gain that power myself. That's greedy, isn't it? Oops.)
11. Bonus question: Coffee or tea, and how do you take it? Neither, although I guess I do drink iced tea. I use to be a Coke fiend and would drink 3-4 a day but I gave it up. Maybe this is why I'm always tired... perhaps I should look into that.

ShinySherlock’s questions:
1. Dream date? September 7th, because it's my birthday! Actually, probably a date closer to October because it'd be rainy and cold and cloudy but not TOO cold. (...what? I misunderstood the question?)
2. Fave album? Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens, I think. Tough one, though.
3. Fave childhood memory? Anything involving Lake Tahoe, or just sitting on the front driveway playing with Hot Wheels when it was cloudy and cold and the sidewalk was still slightly damp from rain. I loved the smell of wet dirt. Going to Great America and being able to ride rollercoasters a bunch of times in a row without puking.
4. Something you did once that you wish you could take back or do over? This list would be way too long. I wish I hadn't let my anxiety/depression issues take over in the middle of college so that I had finished on time instead of having to look into going back to finish now.
5. If someone were to plan a birthday party/trip/gathering for you, what would you want it to be like? I'm not really a party person. I like to sit at home in my room and stare at my computer screen. But if I had to choose: A bunch of people talking about stuff they love! And also some food. In an air conditioned place. With Season 3 of Sherlock projected onto a giant wall. In a treehouse.
6. What are you an expert in? (Yes, you can be an expert in Sherlock. Or goldfish care. Or pen twirling. Everyone’s an expert at something.) Um. Well, I used to be a platonic expert in John Travolta between the years of 1995 to the early 2000s, but most of that information has leaked out of my brain to make room for other things. I still have a creepy scrapbook hidden somewhere under my bed, though, and I've been unable to delete an entire scene of Broken Arrow from my head. Now, I'm probably an expert in...scooping the cat box? Reading Sherlock fanfiction? Being sneezed on by toddlers at work?
7. What do you wish you were an expert at, or better at? (Can be realistic or completely fantastical). Drawing! Writing! Making decisions! Also, cooking and flying without the aid of man-made machines.
And now, assorted fandom questions. If you are not familiar with the fandom, just skip or create your own questions. I want to know whatever you want to tell me about. ♥
8.Sherlock and John—your thoughts? (Ship it like FedEx but wouldn’t want it to actually happen on the show? Epic bros? Actually quite codependent? etc. BUT shhhhhh no sp0ilers, k?) I ship it so much that when I was first introduced to Sherlock, I didn't sleep more than 2 hours a night for about 3 weeks because of watching all the episodes multiple times and overdosing on fanfiction. It really is a very codependent relationship but I tend to go for that in my fiction. In real life, it'd be all kinds of dysfunctional and dangerous, but I like the angst and the "I can't live without you" nature of their relationship, in theory. In the show I think they're just epic bros, which I also enjoy a lot. I don't think it'll happen in the show, but that doesn't mean I can't read into every. damn. scene. in a way that makes one or the other seem like they're pining. I'm reaaaally adept at that. Hey, that's what I'm an expert in. Reading subtext into things even when it isn't there. COUGHmicrolockCOUGH (Although I think in Sherlock, most of the time, it IS there.) I could say much more about this as I'm rather obsessed actually, but I'm tired and I need to go to bed.
I don't know if I'd even want it to be in the show unless it's in the very last episode, because I'm sure they'd do certain things with it that wouldn't be how we've all imagined it, and for me at least 2/3rds of the fun is the reading into things and enjoying the fanfiction and "what if?" possibilities.
9. What Hogwarts house would you sort yourself into? What would be your favorite subject? Would you be into quiddich? etc. I could listen to you talk HP all the livelong day. This is also something I could ramble about but I'm running out of steam. I would love to think I'm a Ravenclaw, but I might be more of a Hufflepuff. Definitely not Gryffindor, unless stoicism counts as bravery. Does it? I'm also not Slytherin but have not much against them as a people. (Fun fact, my grandma, who I currently live with, reminds me of Umbridge. The walls in her room are even covered in tiny pictures of cats. I'll take a picture sometime.) I would be into watching quidditch and I think I'd quite like to fly, but my depth perception is severely lacking so I doubt I'd be any good at it. Favorite subject, hmmm. Arithmancy? Alchemy? I'd take them all. Can I please take them all?
10. Which Star Wars character are you most like and why? C3P0. I feel anxious and anal retentive like he is most of the time. He is my inner monologue.
11. What is your name? What is your quest? What is your favorite color? I've never been good at coming up with online aliases. The longest one I've had is Puff, but I can't just say that and not explain, because people tend to think I'm either a pot smoker, a Puff daddy fan, or a fan of some Pokemon with Puff in the name. (Jiggly Puff?) It's just in reference to cheese. As in cheese Puff. Because my actual name is a type of cheese. My quest is intellectual fulfillment and having financial security so that I can overdose on fanfiction without there being any aspect of drowning financial worries in escapism. Also, realizing that my issues regarding myself and my self image because of childhood surgeries are ill-founded and should not define me as a person. Also, to live in a treehouse. And my favorite color is cerulean blue or British racing green.

Now, here are your 11 questions, should you choose to accept them:
1. What is your biggest fear that isn't actually based in reality? (Not something sane like public speaking or clowns or reflections in mirrors doing things they're not supposed to do, but something nonsensical, like cotton swabs.)
2. What is your favorite dinosaur?
3. If you could create your own profession like Sherlock did, what would your job be?
4. If you controlled the people who make movies out of books, which book would you demand be made into a movie asap? And who would play the leads?
5. If your life were an A-Ha video, which fictional character would you want to come to life out of your drawings to sweep you off your feet?
6. If you could only smell one thing for the rest of your life, what smell would you choose?
7. What's your headcanon about why Sally hates Sherlock so much? (if you're in the fandom. if not, tell me a random headcanon about anything else.)
8. Is there any fanfiction you've read that you'd like made into a movie? If so, which?
9. In fact, can you just rec me your favorite fanfiction. I need more. Also, to make this an actual question: If you were to wake up tomorrow and be a character in a book or movie or fanfiction, which character/world would you want to wake up into?
10. Have you ever had a reoccuring nightmare or dream? If so, describe it in terrifying/beautiful detail.
11. What do you wish grew on trees that doesn't?
And now. SLEEP. Oh, and I tag ANYONE WHO SEES THIS EVER, even if you've already done one.
