Busy day!

I finished our friends' kids' quilts! We got to drop them off for them today as well just before the left for the hospital; I didn't realize she's being induced for labor tomorrow, and their little girl is almost here! Finished the quilts just in time. They said they loved them and that makes me so happy.

It got to just above freezing temps today, and the sun came out, so the roads were actually perfectly clear! I popped in at the grocery store for some things, accidentally bumping into my old boss (euyuck!) but it was brief, thankfully lol.

I even braved it and went on a run! I haven't run in weather like this since I lived in Alaska 💔 and I wasn't allergic to the trees up there 😭 I totally get cedar fever here, which I learned comes from a juniper, not a true cedar! Fuck you Texas!!! I'm all congested and in sinus pain now, my reward for running.

I accidentally put too much barley in my beef and barley stew lol but it was slow roasting all day and quite delicious regardless.

Two pairs of socks lol

I think I look like a protester lol. The gaiter was annoying and I removed it halfway through.

Looks like the kids in my neighborhood have started a shop at the park!

The yellow/orange tips are pollen cones, the source of cedar fever.

Where his steed's hooves struck the earth there were coughs and where his gaze fell there were sneezes. Misery followed in his wake like a shadow and relief could not be found in over the counter medications. Was it allergies? Were they coming down with the flu? Men and women cast about for answers in vain.

And through bright sunshine and 60-degree temperatures he rode. Another day of suffering cloaked in the finery of "nice weather." His name was Cedar.
