I’m drawing a lot of side-characters lately and this one is definitely one of my favourites. Lynn is a Trill, a badass-advocate and just a ray of sunshine. In the picture, she just saw her wife Melory before their date!

So, I'm making a thing and it'll certainly take time. So here's a small piece of future drawing. Yes, captain Keating is tired. Yes, he had enough of this shit. Yes, he is facepalming =)

Celesta Hogwarts AU Part 1/? - Boggarts

Greg Keating - himself. Not the exact copy but with dark mark (yep, the Death Eater's one), evil smile and no remorse in his eyes

Jillian Hunt - her parents. Life with them was hell and even after years without them she is still afraid. Mostly, because being with them ironically means being totally alone and being cut from the world.

William Maxwell - homeless man. He was raised in poverty and Will is afraid because it makes people go so far just to stay alive. He is afraid that he betrays his principles if he faces it again.

Bradley Finnighan - easy. Spiders!

Melory Pratt - walls that are closing in. She is little bit afraid of small spaces but much more of staying in four walls for her whole life and in her home town.

Harris Cross - his broken wand. He is afraid of being powerless.

Ted Monroe - darkness. He is afraid of the dark places literally and also to stay in the shadows of others for all his life

Beatis Daniels - medals which belong to her father. Beatis admires his work as an auror but she's afraid that his fame will clear the way for her career. She's afraid that she'll be cheered because of her father and not because of her own work.

Garrett Valentine - he is not fully human, so that's one explanation for the strange thing but he also has very interesting mind. So, one way or another Garrett doesn't have a boggart.

Meet the crew (Part 6/9)

The chief medical officer is crucial to every Starfleet ship and especially for USS Celesta because they always find trouble. 9 quick facts about the doctor, Harris Cross

- he was married 3 times and 3 times was divorced. First wife was human, second - denobulan, third is deltan

- he has a daughter, her name is Aenya. He didn't know for some time about her existence and was afraid to be a part of her life because she has full family (her mother got happily married second time) and he was afraid that he'll be a bad example for her

- he was captured by cardassians during one of the battles with them. He killed them before to protect himself but as a doctor he healed the wounded while he was captured

- he likes snakes! They are his favourite pets and he keeps them in the medbay (yes, some crew members are terrified)

- he is a good old friend of captain Keating, they served together for few years. And he is slowly befriending Melory, partly because he usually sees her as a patient

- he doesn't tell anyone about his therapy because he's afraid that crew won't trust him as a doctor

- Harris has very dark sense of humor. He jokes in a light way to make his patients feel better but when everyone is alright, he can be very sarcastic

- one of his biggest traumas is not even a capture but an epidemic which he helped to stop. He was successful but only month and a half after the start. The cure was the victory but with a lot of grief

- he has a talent for music but again, he never tells anyone. Harris can play at least 4 instruments (can you guess some of them?)

(and yeah, I probably fancast him Peter Capaldi’s appearance or, at least, someone with same impressive grey hair and eyebrows)

Meet the crew (Part 2/9)

The second most important person on a ship. The first officer. Jillian Hunt. I has hundreds facts about her but here are 9 which are enough to know her a little bit

the only daughter of two journalists who cared more about their articles and news than about her

spend teen years with her aunt Emily, who loved her as her own daughter and helped her to open up and go to Academy (following the example of Emily’s husband, Peter)

in Academy she was a close friend of Benjamin Sisko, mostly he was rational and she was a hot-head, sometimes it was the other way around

adores coffee, ancient navy thematic, holodeck novels and books about Captain Star (yeah, they’re also a product of my mind)

left the fleet 8 months after she became lieutenant-commander, she was really successful (head of security) and caring about ensigns and lieutenants 

then became a smuggler merchant (no, really, a smuggler) and travelled across three quadrants, including gamma one

one time got romulans eight tons of dark chocolate and it totally worths all her troubles

pansexual, like all types of humans and aliens but her kink is probably someone as impulsive as her, person of action and passion

latin american, Hunt is a surname of her aunt, actually she is Jillian Vazquez

I am not telling how she got her way back to StarFleet, it’s part of a plot but she will return there

Meet the crew (Part 1/9)

So, 9 main characters aboard USS Celesta (there are others on board and off also, but they will be later) and 9 nine posts about each one of them. I put a lot of info in previous posts but this time just 9 bulletpoints with important and fun stuff.

The most important person on a ship. The captain. Gregory Steven Keating:

the second child in a family, has 2 sisters, Rebecca and Alisha

went to Starfleet Academy only on the third attempt

and in Academy he joined Section 31 because he was failing miserably and faked his grades (that’s a long story and kinda the core of main plot, so I won’t talk much about that)

Section 31 helped his career and he became one of the youngest captains in a century, fame and glory came with it

he understood his mistake but it was too late, he hated himself for years but still worked for them

incredibly good at history, caring about children, cooking and golf

bisexual and really has a thing for blue eyes

secretly adores spy-action holodeck novels but cannot enjoy them if they’re not historically accurate (his mother is a historian, so it’s childhood trauma)

Actually, I really like the fact that in the first story which is about hundred pages you could literally count how many times Jillian says the truth. It's not much more that ten. And her lies are countless. That makes the her truths so important.
