Random question for cellists, (I guess this might also apply to some double bassists?): What do you hate happening more when playing?: 1. Your endpin sliding, or 2. Your endpin retracting up inside your instrument This was just a random idea for a poll I had so I'm curious to see what other people think lol. I'm personally not sure what my answer is -- they're both super annoying scenarios LOL

Jacqueline du Pré
Jacqueline du Pré was born in 1945 in Oxford, England. Du Pré is considered one of the 20th century's greatest cellists. She rose to international prominence at seventeen years old with her performance of the Elgar cello concerto at Royal Festival Hall. Three years later, in 1965, du Pré made what has become a legendary recording of the Elgar concerto. Her American debut followed in 1967. Du Pré's musical career was cut short by multiple sclerosis, and she retired in 1973.
Jacqueline du Pré died in 1987 at the age of 42. She received tributes from musicians such as Yo Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman.
