Thank you to everyone who sent such heartfelt condolences on the passing of Eva this week. It really helped to receive such kindness during a very difficult time. Alongside taking Jeanie on lots of long woodland walks, I'm also back in the studio finding solace in creatively distracting myself. These hand made ceramic rose earrings have been queued on my desk for a couple of weeks, waiting to make their way in the world. Thanks to @little_mouse_pottery for carefully firing my pottery pink rose cabochons and also thanks to @fancifuldevices for the salvaged tin cone bead concept - I love how they hang from the Lyre Harp hammered brass hoops. Making my own ceramic beads has to be one of the most rewarding developments in my creative journey this year. I'm so excited that the clay worked in the mold I took of the vintage lucite bead and they fired in the kiln just perfectly (thanks to @little_mouse_pottery ). And the glazes I used are a reminder that Spring is here and it is beautiful.
