Monstera making a comeback
Velvet Leaf Bronze Micans Vine (Philodendron scandens f. micans)
Details.
New to our forest is this ceriman (Monstera Deliciosa) planted from seed. Native to the understory of tropical lowland and premontane rainforests of tropical America from southern Mexico south to Panama. This plant, although common as an indoor ornamental, does in fact bear edible fruit. Before the fruit can be eaten, the hard, scaly rind must be removed and the pulp separated from the inner core. The aromatic pulp of fully ripe fruit is eaten fresh or used in salads or deserts. The arial roots contain strong fibers used traditionally in Central America for making ripe and weaving baskets. Of the large family Araceae, containing more than 3,700 species, the ceriman is the only species cultivated for its edible fruit. Many members of the family are cultivated as ornamentals and indoor plants. ・・・ #growninhaiti #ceriman #monsteradeliciosa #foodforest #edible #plantedfromseed #haiti #ayiti #growth #agroforestry #foodsecurity #organic #transplant #reforestation https://www.instagram.com/p/B97tuY6lQlR/?igshid=qidyomxotq3l

pleins de lumières et de plantes pour une ambiance jungle même si dans la vraie nature de la vraie vie c’est pas des plantes qui se fréquente (et même que je fais des rimes des fois)

Ugh look how gorgeous these leaves are
Oh look, I FINALLY realized I could hang multiple levels of plants by using two tension rods.... only took me 6 months of living in this place to figure that out 🙃
You know you’re becoming a pretentious plant enthusiast when you read care articles and scoff
“Don’t worry, your pot doesn’t need drainage holes! Just put some rocks in the bottom! Lava rocks should do the trick!!”
EXCUSE me????
