She of the crooked teeth, wife of the Fomorian king Balor of the Evil Eye. By him she begets Ethniu, who begets the god Lugh. The Fomorians, long at war with the Tuatha Dé Danann, come to war with them at Magh Tuired. Cethlenn, a prophetess, warns her husband of his inevitable defeat during this battle, but still they fight. Balor comes to be slain by his grandson Lugh when he uses a sling to gouge out his eye, but during the battle Cethlenn also participates and manages to wound The Dagda, one of the Tuatha Dé Danann's greatest assets, with a thrown javelin before she herself falls.

The Lovers card represents close relationships. The Rider-Waite version depicts two people, presumably Adam and Eve about to make contact with one another. A divine being stands over them, blessing the union. However, it can also represent a crossroad. There are two trees behind the figures. One with the fruits of the earth and a serpent representing life and the evils inherent in them. The other has leaves made of fire, representing desire and passion. Between the lovers stands a mountain, showing that although the union may be blessed, there are challenges.
The crest associated with this card is the Crest of Cethleann. Cethlenn is a wife and mother in Irish mythology. Just like Mac Cuil, Cethlenn draws on Irish mythology. She is a prophet for her people who is also a capable warrior. She excels in projectile weapons such as spears.
The dragon associated with this crest is the Light Dragon. Light symbolises understanding and intellectual thought. It can also represent happiness, prosperity, and becoming a perfect being. Strangely enough, I think the Light Dragon may be the only surviving Nabatean dragon that is not related to the Godai elements.
The character I choose to relate to these elements is Flayn / Cethleann. Flayn has close relationships with those around her and is at a crossroad in her life. She could either choose to continue growing these connections, or go back to isolation, where she was safe. Just like Cethlenn, Flayn is a healer and a lance user. Although she never really throws the lance, it’s close enough to the use of spears. Connecting with the Light Dragon, Flayn is wise and brings healing and happiness to those around her. She is truly a spot of bright light for those in her life.
Overall, I’m finding the Nabateans to be pretty well connected to their tarot card, crest name, and dragon name. Flayn is no exception. What do you guys think? Any details I’ve missed?
In Irish mythology, Cethlenn was a Fomorian who was the wife of Balor and the mother of Ethniu. She was known as "Cethlenn of the Crooked Teeth."
A clairvoyant, Cethlenn warned Balor that he would be defeated by the Tuatha Dé Danann and Battle of Mag Tuired. In some versions of the legend, Cethlenn was a part of the battle, where she wounded the Dagda with a spear.
