can we, as a society, please stop assuming that everyone likes and/or wants children? can we please stop asking young women “so when are you going to have kids?”because honestly not everyone wants or even fucking likes kids.

kids are expensive, messy, germ-y, and a huge time commitment that not everyone wants to make, so can we please fucking stop assuming that everyone will have kids at some point in their lives.

also, related, can we please make sterilization surgeries available to everyone over the age of 18 who gives informed consent to the procedure? because i think i, at 20, am old enough to know that i never want kids. i think i know myself on this one. it grates against me that here in the uk, a 16 year old girl could decide to pop out a kid, but i, a 20 year old woman, can’t decide that i never want to do that. like, what sort of logic?

I think I wrote it before,

but definitely Shamir and Lysithea. Call it first route bias, even now I'm still meh about them.

Lysithea can ditch her family (the only people she cares about?) and her friends because... uh, something? Siding with the people who used her and her siblings as guinea pigs is fun? I know she most likely doesn't know they are here, but why is Lysithea switching sides? Why her out of anyone??? For "lel" Dark Humour? To paint Edel in a bad light since their support chain really sucks?

And Shamir... well, I get not being loyal to your former employer, even if said employer saved your life, but again, why? Why would she ditch her partner, her friends, and the person who saved her life? For money?

TBF, it was my first route, and I didn't care a lot about students, but when jp!Judith screams Ignatz's name, Lysithea abandoning Claude, her family and her friends felt really wrong. I actually killed her even when offered the choice, not only because I wanted to kill everyone, but because this? Never. The only reason Xavier sided with the Empire in FE5 is because he wanted to protect his soldiers and their families. Not because Blume was so rad and Leonster finished.

Alois fought and died to retake his home when Shamir just bailed out.

Since then I've mellowed out a bit regarding Shamir, since she's pretty consistent in all routes, even CF (as an enemy). But Lysithea? Hmm... not yet. She has the dubious honor of joining CF even if you didn't recruit her in the Pre TS, which, from a watsonian POV, means she had been looking for a way to bail out from the Alliance, or to abandon her parents?

(apparently from a doylist POV she was picked because without Flayn the BE peeps lack a mage?)

My lungs feel so so clear you guys. Like it's almost scary... it's weird and part of me is like "hmm something must be wrong." But it's not wrong this is how lungs are supposed to be.
