The fact that Zoro's been using haoshoku like it's normal since who knows when (but certainly since before Enies Lobby) is so fucking wild tho

And it's extra funny if you imagine him using Asura on Mihawk while training and Mihawk actively choosing not to tell him

Mihawk, internally: this is haoshoku. This is literally haoshoku being controlled and finely tuned, this is a crazy level of control and he thinks he's just imagining it really hard that's so fucking funny

Confident!Luffy is always so good, but it’s also nice that he’s returning the favor and making sure Zoro and Law get out of there safely.

Chapter 1010 — Conqueror’s Haki

What a chapter! I don’t think it’ll be that easy and that there’ll be a lot of challenges yet to come, but WHAT A CHAPTER!

First, I still adore Big Mom’s and Kaido’s sibling-like relationship. As we saw when Big Mom arrived at Onigashima, they are equal in fighting ability and here they are, still annoying each other — but Kaido will still help her, as a proper little bro would do to his lovable, yet annoying big sis.

This is also a prime example of Big Mom’s selfishness and childishness. “Why didn’t he help me?!?” is kind of irrelevant when the dude is locked up in a box. She knows he was just ready to help and then suddenly gone so the most logical thing to assume is that he was snatched away, like Nami did in the great hall earlier, not start to blame him for being away.

But I wonder what Prometheus is asking from Big Mom. Probably something to do with creating a new, stronger Zeus (and leaving the one locked in the box free for Nami).

Zoro continues to shine (and kill himself) this chapter!

But one thing I can never get enough off is Luffy’s uncanny ability to learn from others, especially under pressure.

I guess he’s waking up here and hears the tail end of Kaido’s remark to Zoro.

And then he just gets it, putting together all previous experiences and lessons.

And just kills it.

And the size difference in that last panel!

I have to say, I really enjoy the “air bubble” effect of the conqueror’s haki-coated normal punches. Can’t wait for a Red Hawk-version of it!

You actually will do that, crazy rubber boy.

And once again we have Zoro denying that he can use Conqueror’s Haki even when people who definitely know what using it would entail are saying otherwise

And I think this is also significant because Zoro’s basically saying that he trusts Law to look out for Luffy and take care of the fight when he can’t anymore.

This time it’s not just Law but him initially telling Zoro to pull back so they can all stay alive is, again, essentially showing concern and then Kid and Killer only back up that idea.
