I didn’t really notice this the first time through, but I was just rereading some of the Saboady Reunion because it’s Good, and I realized Luffy’s goodbye to Rayleigh is 行って来る/itte kuru.

行って来る/itte kuru, usually said conjugated into polite form as 行って来ます/itte kimasu, literally means something like “I’m going (and I’ll come back),” and it’s something you say as a goodbye to your family when leaving home, such as at the start of the day to go to school or work.
