It’s kind of hard to tell what Law’s thinking here watching Luffy defeat Doflamingo but obviously it’s important that he’s flashing back to Cora’s words while it’s happening.
I’m pretty sure Doflamingo’s final attack name is a reference to Mariejois and the Celestial Dragons- the 聖/sei (‘holy/sacred’) he uses here is the same as used to describe Mariejois as a ‘Holy Land’ (聖地/seichi, lit. holy land/earth).
Oda confirms that there are "higher-powered versions" of devil fruits in chapter 790's SBS, and what really stands out is Mag-Mag being higher/stronger than Flame-Flame. Which means that Ace was killed by a version of his own fruit, and that Luffy is permanently scarred from that higher-powered version. Jesus, Oda!
Law does an awful lot of swapping people out to save them in these chapters
I mean, the country was already pretty destroyed, but Luffy didn’t exactly help things here!!
Again at this point we knew very little about what Awakening actually did for someone in terms of their ability but it sure looks really cool
