...I mean you need to ask Luffy about this first, but now not only has Law refused to label the Strawhats as his subordinates (which would have already saved him a lot of trouble) but he’s basically forfeited his Shichibukai position and now tried to distance himself from them so that Doflamingo will solely focus on him.
Doflamingo works 糸/ito (string) into a lot of his attack names via wordplay. For example, the kanji on this one are 超過鞭糸/chouka muchi-ito, meaning something like ‘super/ultra string whip,’ but the katakana on it are オーバーヒート/obaahiito (‘overheat’), with the ito at the end also forming the word ‘string’ again.

Zoro the alcoholic
Tiny bonus:
I do like Sanji being the only person to call Law out on this, because Sanji’s kind of...got a habit of being all too willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the crew and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume after hearing Law’s plan that he’s suspicious of his motives (even if he has no idea that Doflamingo and Law have the past that they do...)
This is the first time we find out what ability Doflamingo has which...definitely took a very long time since we already saw him using it pre-timeskip.
I appreciate that Nami’s unwilling to abandon the others on Dressrosa but I also can’t blame her for changing her mind when the ship is getting attacked by flying meteors about two panels later.
