You know what's funny, they (fans,actors,writers,....) keep saying that Derek was a bad alpha, and that Scott is a good alpha, yet somehow Derek has trained all of betas (including Jackson) how to control their werewolf side at all time & on full moon, and Scott who has a co-alpha (stile) still has to hit his beta to trigger it and has to tie him to a tree on a full moon.

Other than that I agree though. Derek did what he could, he even tried to help Scott when he was literally resenting him, and in the meanwhile Scott can’t even deal with one Beta properly and resents him for loosing the control he never taught him.
Imagine Derek would’ve acted like Scott, after Boyd and Cora nearly killed him in the basement of the school. People would’ve ripped him apart. Not one person judged them because we knew they weren’t in control.
But when Scott makes it seem like he lets Liams girlfriend die cause he couldn’t care less instead of taking a minute to explain and give him some fucking comfort, there is a supermoon and we have a kid with IED that was never properly trained control, it’s suddenly unforgivable? Fuck that.
