F.T. CH.414-416...
Let me be honest with you, I was a little so-so about half the time with the Tartaros Arc...
But then 414 happened...
followed by 415....
Which lead to shit hitting the fan by 416....
E | therious N | atsu D | ragneel
((A Revelation to round up ALL Revelations in this chapter as Zeref reveals the true identity of E.N.D, and that he is no longer residing in the book like most had assumed.))
SO…on top of the fact that Natsu’s 400 years old ((which explains a lot in the Fighting Festival Arc when he couldn’t get past Freed’s Runes)), he’s ‘technically’ the Guild Master of Tartaros, was the one who Igneel fought and lost against, AND is the one that Gray intends to kill to fulfill the task his father left to him.
Thinking about how things have turned out, it really is ironic since it’s similar to the time when we’d all assumed Zeref was asleep, but in fact he wasn’t.
It makes you wonder if Igneel knew what he really was, and whether he intended to kill him before developing affection towards him as his son. ((Though we’ll probably never know NOW unless we conveniently have something of his that would-*GASP* HIS SCARF. 83…*ahem* but I digress…))
As the cogs of fate continue to wind down to the battle that will decide the destiny of this world, what will be the inevitable fate of Natsu who has no idea of the tragic role he may play that could lead them all down the path towards destruction?
Fly Free, Brats
((First the Guild Disbands….Now Team Natsu is dissolved…))
As things are taking a dramatic turn towards the future with the inevitable disbandment of the guild, what Makarov had told Doranbolt has already been set in motion as many of the youngsters have come to realize their limitations, and how they must retrain themselves in order to grow stronger again; which interestingly was most of the people who were among the Tenroujima gang.
Unfortunately this “coming of age” also means that they will have to leave the nest in order to do just that…but not all of them can be together.
Understanding that he can’t qualify in fighting side by side with Lucy, Natsu instead leaves her a letter to let her know that he and Happy will be on a solo journey to become stronger so that they can protect everyone.
Although he probably did want to bring her with them, he’s probably feeling vulnerable right now and worries he may not be strong enough to help her when she needs him most. And after losing Igneel he couldn’t bear the thought of that.
And while I’m sure he deeply regrets leaving her when she’d already experienced the loss of her father AND Aquarius, he hopes that she will come to understand his decision and will wait for him when he comes back home a stronger and more reliable person.
And the same definitely applies to everyone else as it's clear from their expressions that they too plan on doing something about this just as Natsu and Gray have already begun on their journey.
Things may never be the same, but they'll surely reunite soon enough.
The End of an Era
(A double whammy of a shocker as Makarov reveals 2 revelations that will change EVERYTHING.))
After doing what he’d asked and erasing anyone who’d found out about ‘that,’ Doranbolt smiles mirthfully as he casually waves his assurance that he intends to honor Makarov’s wishes and will erase his memories of this great secret as well; which isn’t all that surprising considering how fond he is of this rambunctious guild and is willing to help in protecting it.
However Fairy Tail’s Sixth reassures him that that won’t be necessary, and reveals to him a shocking truth about his identity that completely throws him off his guard.
Like Gajeel, Doranbolt’s role was that of a double agent to ensure the safety of the Guild; however his came at a price of forgetting that he was once part of the guild, which was more than likely to ensure that no one would be able to trace him back.
But for what reason did he take on such a clandestine role? And for how long?
Unfortunately all those facts are not laid out right away as Makarov, though not making it quite clear as to why he’d decided to tell him this now, also reveals to Doranbolt the shocking decision he would make in officially disbanding the guild.
((WHAT MADNESS ARE YOU PLOTTING FOR US ALL ‘NOW’, MASHIMA?!))
I’m Back
Although there have definitely been a lot of losses and sufferings in the wake of the battle, there was also some good that had turned up; particularly with Sabertooth and the return of one of their prodigal Nakamas.
Thanks to Erza and the Twin Dragon Team, who still had faith in her despite how far she’d fallen, she was able to return to the place where she truly belong.
And while she’d thought that many would have been reluctant to take her back, especially since it seemed like she wouldn’t be any different to her father’s tyranny near the end of the Grand Magic Games, she is moved to tears to find that not a single person held back from welcoming her home.
With nakama like this she can finally lift a little of that burden of "being strong" off her shoulders.
Irreplaceable Warmth
((OH GOD, THE GRUVIA. (つ △` ) ゚・))
While paying his respects to his parents after erecting a proper grave for them, Gray is surprised ((and shocked; though he really shouldn’t be at this point XDD)) to find that Juvia had managed to track him down all the way here.
However unlike her usual routine of stalking him, she’s decided to break protocol as she sorrowfully expresses to him that she would mark this as the last time she would come near him as she isn’t worthy of his love, confessing to him that she was the one who had ended his father’s life by killing the Necromancer.
And although she’d anticipated that he would be furious, and wouldn’t have blamed him if he’d told her to never show her face again, she’s taken by surprise as he thanks her for what she had done and apologizes.
Given the circumstances of his father's shackled and tormented soul, he is in truth grateful to her for being able to carry out the heavy task that he didn't have the heart to do, yet at the same time it makes him feel shameful because he'd ended up getting her hurt too.
Though the scars that these two have received may never go away, by fulfilling Silver’s last request and living on together with Gray, she’ll at least be able to give him the irreplaceable warmth and love that he’d lost so many times in his life.
Gray! No cry!
From what I could make out of the translation. It's been a week after the dragons came and gone. Gray then talks to Juvia or she talks to him about his dad and that she was the reason that he died.He cries and saying, "I'm sorry.... And thank you....I'm sorry" Thus leaning over and crying into her chest. Now I don't know if this is all correct or now but if you want to see/find out for yourself then click here! So If you can translate them or read it. then coolie! But if your like me, you have to wait ti'l it's translated and read the chapter soon to find out what's going on!
