I think that this panel is blacked out like this mostly to censor the violence of a dude getting his head bitten off, even if that dude is mostly a robot, but also because the silliness of a dinosaur wearing a pirate hat and leather coat would take away a little of the inherit badassery of the image. During this whole scene Oda is very careful about what angles he draws a transformed Drake from, and I honestly think it's because he hadn't worked out all the design kinks of his various forms yet.

Lots of fun details with Hawkins' fodder crew members, but I like the guy who added smiley faces to his skull necklace. Gotta keep things festive, you know?

The piano teeth looking like braces is a legitimately brilliant design concept that would terrify me if I ever saw it in real life

It's not going to be relevant for awhile, but I like the contrast of how hard the Straw Hats have to work to take down a Pacifista here versus one-shotting them post time skip. It's a nice, clean way to measure progress

It will be commented on later by Drake, but something I feel that gets overlooked by the fandom is that the Pacifistas bleed. They're not pure robots, but utilize the Vinsmoke cloning technology and are like Franky--a slurry of mechanical and organic bits mixed together into one.

So when characters like the Straw Hats blow them up, it's not as simple as destroying a robot. There was a person in there somewhere, even if they were grown in a vat and had their brain replaced with a computer. This is a little bit more obvious with the S versions shown in Egghead, but no less horrific here.
