I’m reposting this from @chalenejohnson ‘s story today because it is THAT important. Of course we all want to look the best we can (said the retired stylist who worked on major photo shoots for 15 years in a former life.) But that 💩isn’t real. All the Tszuj, set and setting, designer clothes, and fake persona are to sell something... Like a magazine cover, a product, an idea, or even you. However, on social media people connect with real people. Now, while you don’t need to be always dolled up, you shouldn’t look like you just fixed your carburetor (unless you really did) and haven’t brushed your hair in a week either. People are attracted to real people that they relate to and are slightly aspirational. Not staged facsimiles of a fantasy image. For crying out loud — I sound like my dad— celebrities show up real on social to deepen their connection with you. So get real with intention. This is one of my favorite topics and I’ve done the research, lots of press, and tons of content. Message me if you want more... By far... The best place to start is on my free 5-day challenge that overdelivers on you how to be comfortable to create your own own photos on the fly... with your phone!
