It never came. There were extensive searches, questions and appeals, but despite the best efforts of all the detectives and all the town's men, her head was never found, and the girl in the woods was never put together again.
The Chalk Man
I’ve never really read a horror book like this before. I read this and loved how its basically the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme, just a lot creepier.
Am I the only one who thought while reading The Chalk Man by C. J. Tudor that Eddie and David (Hoppo) should be together?
Think about it logically, they both do... some weird things, they both have sick parents, but the biggest reason is that Eddie has an unfinished house and David is a handyman, and David has a horribly trashy house, while Eddie is a pretty good housekeeper (which I mean if Chloe teased him by calling him a wife).
And in general, just look at their interaction
"Who are we if not the sum of our experiences, The things that we gather and collect in life? Once you strip those away we become just a mass of flesh, bone and blood vessels."
- C.J. Tudor, The Chalk Man
Book Review of The Chalk Man C. J. Tudor's The Chalk Man belongs to that category of reasonably interesting, reasonably accomplished thrillers. It generates some interest, although not highly original.
