Today's Chalk Art Time-Lapse Throw-Back video is a BIG one, and it is the second time I officially worked on a project for Lucasfilm. In 2012 I appeared at my second Star Wars Celebration convention and was tasked in making a chalk mural celebrating the fifth season of the Clone Wars TV show.

The big question at the start of the season was "Who Will Fall?" To focus on this, the mural design was a collaboration between myself and the design team at Lucasfilm with 10 characters in the crosshairs to potentially be killed off, all the while a giant Darth Sidious looms in the center. At a giant 9 feet tall by 14 feet wide and including a full background, it took about 36 hours to complete. Fortunately, it was a 4 day show so I had the time and didn't have to rush anything. The final artwork ranks near the top as one of my proudest chalk art accomplishments.

To top it all off, this time lapse video was used a bonus feature on the Clone Wars Season 5 DVD collection, and that is something I am amazed by to this day.

I certainly hope I get to return to another Star Wars Celebration in the future, there are so many images to draw upon from vast well of creativity that is Star Wars, I can only imagine the cool things I could draw. Enjoy, and please share!

Welcome to a new week, and a new Chalk Art Time-Lapse Throw-Back. Today's artwork comes from @otakon​ 2012, and was my 4th mural created for an Otakon show.

As is often the case at Otakon, I was asked to recreate the artwork from their program cover. This year's theme was "Cooking" and the original image was a fantastic kitchen scene by Del Borovic.

The artwork was certainly challenging, with a full background, multiple textures, large scale perspectives to accurately reproduce, and some great coloring and shading. This one was pure fun, I had such a great time.

Welcome to FRIDAY, and today's Chalk Art Time-Lapse Throw-Back. Once again, we return to a show I consider a second home, Anime Central​.

For my 2nd Anime Central appearance, I worked with @funimation​ and created a mural of art from the series Lupid the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. The original art was GORGEOUS, with flowing lines and amazing colors, and I did my best to honor it in my chalk recreation. Once finished, it became one of my top five favorite murals, and I believe still sits in those ranks to this day.

The mural was 9 feet wide by 13 feet tall, and took about 30 hours to complete from start to finish. Enjoy the video, and please share as it really helps to get my artwork out there, especially during this time when conventions are all on pause.
