@chalkyhearts said: Realistically speaking, Society 6 doesn’t take any of your profits. The tricky bit it’s that they have a baseline cost for all of their products, so anything above that dollar amount is your profit.
Yeah, this is a better explanation of what actually happens when you use sites like redbubble / society 6. :) Thanks for saying this, I couldnt figure out how to explain it better haha.

The fantastic chalkyhearts now has a Patreon and is working his ass off on a webcomic while also holding down a day job. I know this because Valentine and I grab dinner when either of us can remember to do so, and he is one of my very favorite people to hang out with. He is sincere and determined to present women in illustration and comics as fun, interesting, and downright confident. I have two pieces of his art on my wall, and I love them both.
And, for you budding colorists out there: For a mere five bucks a month, he will send you a drawing that you can color yourself. Or, for those like me who just like to color things, you still get that drawing every month. That’s pretty fucking rad.
So, if you’ve got some extra bucks for Patreon and think he’s rad, toss him those bucks. I know he’ll appreciate the hell out of it.
An awesome Barda I got from chalkyhearts at last year’s Rose City Comic Con got hung up.
The very first sketch of Guy Gardner I ever got from danschkade finally got hung up.
Pics when the light is better. Schkade, you’ll be pleased to know you are helping start a whole new wall of art. And, Valentine, your Barda sketch replaced my Black Canary poster.
chalkyhearts made me a thing, and I thought it important you see his thing next to my thing to fully appreciate the his thing. Because you should appreciate the thing because it is amazing. One of us has done their detail work. The other really needs to sack up and sew on the other beads.
