Okay but Yami’s introduction to Atem, to his past, to who exactly he is supposed to be, must’ve been awful for him.
I’m not even talking about the Bakura part.
I’m talking about how Seto elected to characterize Atem.
Specifically this line.
‘This is normal,’ Seto says. ‘This is how you would handle this,’ Seto says. ‘This is maybe even unnecessary. Not for the sake of the job. Just because it would *amuse* you,’ Seto says.
The lost pharaoh is someone who kills for fun. Who likes it. Who surrounds himself with people who enable it, he says, unthinkingly. Uncaringly. The sky is blue and the pharaoh tortures people.
And who is Yami to say that Seto is wrong? Seto knows him better than he knows himself, right? Is this really who he is? After all he has denounced people who kill for the hell of it, is he no better?
Anywho I’m having a blast with Yami’s no good very bad trip down memory lane even if Yami himself is dying inside because what if he truly is a terrible awful person? (What if when he fully recovers his memories he reverts back to being that way?)
