"Painful" Memories || challenger-of-fate
Incomplete. Too many missing pieces in this huge, forgotten puzzle. There was the memory of his mother, quite vivid and true, but when Morgan constrained to draw the likeness of his father from within his mind, he drew a blank.
Did it mean something? The way he relished the vivid memories of his mother but left cold in the emptiness of his father's supposed reminiscent touch? Everything about him, everything he knew about himself had been forged from the ideals born from his brilliant tactician mother, but what if he possessed traits from his father, as well?
He dug both index fingers onto the sides of his temple -- hard. They said amnesia could originate from mild to severe concussions, so by theory, if he rammed his head onto the wall, it might perchance jog his memory, even for a little bit. He'd do anything at this point.
So Morgan stood, sauntered, settled both of his hands onto the wall and pulled his head back. Gritting his teeth, and giving himself no time to hesitate, Morgan, drove himself forward to collide with cement.
Pain immediately came. It didn't focus on the area of collision which was his forehead, but traveled to the back of his head and down his spine. He let out a loud groan and slunk to his knees, instantaneously regretting his earlier decision.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow!" he grimaced. "Okay, ow, I should think of a new strategy. Something that involves less head-smashing and more mental practice. Maybe. I don't know, the pain isn't helping me think."

“No daddy!! Daddy no!” Lucina screamed as she jumped up, crying and held onto her teddy bear, sobbing. “Father…” she whimpered quietly and walked into her parent’s room, looking for Chrom. “F-Father…? Are you… awake…?” the young princess sniffed as she rubbed her eyes.
“Mmm.. Lucina..?” Chrom sat up and looked at his daughter. “What are you doing here?” he got off his bed and knelt down before his daughter. “Did you have a nightmare?”
Lucina merely nodded and cried a bit, wrapping her arms around her father.
“There there. I’m here. It’s just a dream.” The exalt smiled and went back to bed, laying her down and gave her a gentle hug and slowly went back to sleep after watching his daughter sleep. It didn’t take long for him to wake up again, hearing her cry about how her friend’s parents died and didn’t want Chrom to die.
“D-Daddy… please… no… Please…”
“Lucina..?” He shook her awake. “Lucina, wake up. It’s just a dream.”
The princess slowly woke up and cried harder. How many times did she have that dream of her dad dying before her eyes…? How many times did she wake up in tears…?
“It’s alright Lucina. I won’t die. Not until I bring the end to Grima.” Chrom smiled and kissed her head, keeping her close to him.
Robin sighed as she walked back into the room and saw her daughter hugging her husband. “Chrom…? Is there something wrong..?”
“Don’t worry about it, Robin. She just had a really bad dream.” he smiled at his wife as she carefully sat back down on her bed and made sure that she was alright, seeing as she was due in two months.
“It’s alright. We’ll be fine. We’ll all be together… forever.”

“Daddy…? Ngh… Daddy…? Answer me…” Lucina looked up at her father. It was just a simple walk alone together… how did this happen…? Why did Risen attack…? They were easily outnumbered but Chrom was alright by himself so why…? Why was he laying in a pool of blood…?
“D-Daddy…? C-Come on…! All the Risen are dead…! Wake up…! Please…! I want to go home! Let’s go home!” the princess crawled over to her father and shook him while crying. “DADDY!! WAKE UP!!! PLEASE!!”
"Gods!" Lucina wasted no time in rushing outside, her nightgown soaked within seconds. "What are you doing out here?! Come in quickly so we can dry you off! I can't believe you're out here in this weather!" She had to all but yell over this horrendous storm.
"Ah, but you’re soaked too. I’m sorry." Robin apologized as she was led inside. Though she wasn’t at all bothered by the scolding she received. "You should dry yourself off, first. Chrom would be upset if you caught a cold."
