Ooh, I think you know everything I’ve ever changed about Esme bc you helped lmao.
BUT, Scosme originated as an anti-Scira thing. I had definitely thought about it before, but I didn’t decide to truly put it in until Scira. Which bc I have no self control: here’s more scosme origination facts.
1. Esme was originally only going to date Scott so he wouldn't date Kira (she cared about Scott but she hated Kira more lol)
2. Before I decided Esme/Scott would be canon, I kind of found a way around it. There was going to be three books beyond the show. Esme was killed and brought back to life semi-souless (she could still like be in love but she didn’t have any morals), she was dating Stiles but she was drawn to Scott and cheated on Stiles w/ him before leaving Stiles. When they got her emotions back, she was split into two people. Evil Esme and Good Esme. Good Esme realized she only had friendly feelings for Scott and went back to Stiles. Evil Esme decided she was in love with Scott. Scott was like “eh” but couldn’t stay away from her and they were together, although they fought often cause she was evil (she burned a family in the house newly built on the Hale property for irony). She was almost like if Esme was raised by Chris & Victoria (aka had a lot more exposure to Kate)
