How it started and, how it finished…

Yesterday (13.11), we decided that an afternoon walk up to Meadow Wood would be a good idea. That's because in the morning, it was bright and sunny. When we set off in the afternoon, the cloud was starting to bubble up but, there was still a fair bit of blue sky. That started to change during the course of the walk as the cloud built up and the light conditions deteriorated. Needless to say, the mood and atmosphere changed with the build of the cloud and the fading light. I think the two images shown above, taken at the start and the end of the walk, pretty much sum up that transformation. Such are the joys of late autumn photography in England…

You know the bowls in 'Changing Light' that allow checking the future of a randomly-selected other timeline? (A) If a Changeling uses the ritual while in human form, and connects to a timeline where they aren't a Changeling, would they summon their troll alternate self or their Familiar's alternate self? (B) Would a human connecting to a timeline where they were replaced by a Changeling summon the Changeling-in-human-form 'living their life', or the Familiar who was the original alternate-them?

(A) It depends on a changeling. Changelings lead double lives and what the bowl would show them depends on what side of their life they feel more connected to. For example, if changeling feels more connected to their troll side they would see themselves as a full troll. If changeling, such as Walter, feels more connected to their human side they would see themselves as a human. (Maybe Walt could see the human version of him from “hodgepodge”? Now that would be fun.)

(B) The human would summon the vision of his familiar. Maybe they could steer the vision to see the changeling living their life if they knew enough about magic.

My cousin visited and we played a game that’s basicly her shouting out keywords and phrases of au ideas and me drawing them. This times key phrases were: changing light, role swap, mostly canon setting, walt x william, Elinor = teddy bear. It’s pur madness but I like how they came out.
