Hello! You’re back for more? Well, we are so happy we didn’t scare you away!
In today’s episode, we talk about Ms. Novel’s fave celebrity crush, Tom Hardy, and the top three films (well, Ms. Novel’s top three Tom Hardy films), Bronson, Lawless, and This Means War, which Mrs. Arcadian likes to call ‘Spy v. Spy’.
After some archival digging, we both realized that Tom Hardy wasn’t in The Stripper Movie with Channing Tatum ... darn.
Somehow Dolph Lundgren as HE-MAN made his way into our conversation, and we realized that Baklava is really a dessert and not something to cover your face unless you really wanted to, we’re not here to judge.
Celebrity Thirst Tweets were part of the discussion, and we have them all right here for your enjoyment: Nick Jonas, John Boyega & Oscar Isaac, and Mark Ruffalo (that poor, poor man).

Day 8: Exploring Old Haunts

Today’s First Catch of the Day wasn’t so much a catch as a hatch! My first 5km egg arrived to its hatching point with the walking I had to do at work whilst running errands. Say hello to Thwomp the Rhyhorn! (new!)
I was proud of myself for the name. I like imagining that the big Rhyhorns can sit on pesky foes, and when they charge people, they make the EH-ER noise of Thwomps from the Super Mario Bros universe. So that and the fact that he’s a big rock is where the name came from. X3 He’s also one of my strongest Pokemon, I hope to train him up soon!!
I almost got in trouble at work today for chasing a Pokemon. It was the end of the day, and though I’d made a few repeat captures, this was the first new capture that had spawned so close, yet so far. I was getting ready to ask if I could go into the office where he had gone to navigate the cubicles, but fortunately, Koffing appeared in the lunch/break area instead! (New!) (Maybe he was scavenging for leftovers? x3)
Fortunately, he only took one Pokeball and was an easy catch. Maybe he was just hoping for some lunch, which I’ll be sure to take care of for him now. C:
Chankla and I spent our last evening before our trip to Las Vegas packing and then returning to the Domain, where we had gone early on and first encountered the groups of camaraderie. There were even more stops and plenty of people all hanging around catching Pokemon and enjoying the experience and friendly companionship. There were lures and lots of repeat Pokemon everywhere, which lead to some exciting evolutions today!
First off, my first Eevee got an evolution today, into Vaporeon!! Very excited with this first Eeveelution. :D
After that, I’d finally captured enough Weedles to evolve my Kakuna! (Considering my IRL phobia of bees, it struck me as ironic and humorous that I was excited to get a Beedrill, but hey, gotta catch ‘em all! That’s my goal, and I’ll do what it takes.)
I was also delighted and surprised to realize I’d caught enough Spearows to evolve my strongest into a Fearow!
I also hatched another 10 km Egg into another Jynx, and I’m still toying with names if anyone has any ideas!! :D
Oh, and my other new catch today was a Parasect! He took some tracking, but it was well worth it to get that new Pokedex entry! (The camera function was kind of weird on his catch, but I did get him!! He was a tough little mushroom crab though.)
We returned home a little late, and tomorrow we leave for Las Vegas! I can’t wait to see which Pokemon can be found in Vegas! (As well as enjoying EVO, which is why we’re going in the first place, but still! Pokemon!! Can’t help but be excited. :D)
It makes me laugh when all my Mexican cousins freak about the soft chankla because if my grandma or my tía was going to discipline someone, they’d get the wooden chankla or the Hot Wheels track or a wooden spoon and if they missed you when they’d throw the chankla or the spoon, they’d start screaming at you in front of the house for running away and then make you bring it back to them so they could hit you properly.
