sabine wren. obviously. this girl is in desperate need of force guidance. yoda help her pls. she'll be an absolutely terrible student. she's stubborn, sarcastic, and easily frustrated by her own failures, but she's also fiercely loyal and determined not to fail this time. his way of speaking will take a while to get used to though bc what does he mean??? why can he just tell her the answer?!?!

adora. badass space warrior meets badass space warrior ? sign me up !! she's got the right spirit , but not a lot of skill yet. a much better attitude than sabine when it comes to learning tho. biggest thing she'd want to know is how yoda stays so cool, calm, and collected all the time. adora on the other hand considers it a good day if her number of freak outs / awkward comments / huge mistakes is less than five.

mark watney. big surprise ! turns out there is life on mars and it is a little green man. who'd a thunk ? not mark ! the string of curses he lets out upon first discovering yoda would make a sailor blush (and seriously piss off nasa administrators if it ever gets on the record). question : would yoda help him survive on mars ? or would it be like a 'i shouldn't interfere' thing so he is just sat there watching as mark tries not to die / hurls snarky comments at him ?

connor temple. i don't even have a solid idea for this but conn is a massive nerd who absolutely adores star wars so i couldn't not put him on here. like if we have star wars exist as the movies / shows / etc for him and he somehow meets yoda? he might actually short circuit on the spot. maybe this is a bad idea. i don't wanna kill my lil dino dork.

anastasia. so they're basically twins. grew up with no idea they were royalty then one day poof! there's a crown on their head and a million expectations on their shoulders. anya may not be the best influence with her mouth and attitude liable to come out at a moment's notice, but they're glued to each other at any royal functions bc please i need one sane person around me who understands. and debriefs after events they don't attend together bc the duke did what??? omg the audacity!

sherlock holmes. hired after a theft / break in / some other relevant kind of crime to catch the culprit / point out flaw's in the royal security protocols. i just know he's gonna annoy her without even remotely trying. insisting on observing everything, picking it apart with precision and all the warmth of an ice cube in antarctica. bonus: he attends some fancy event and proves he can behave like a relatively normal somewhat charming person when necessary which just makes all the times he's an asshole that much more infuriating.

rick o'connell. come to the opening of a new exhibit or something and meet the adventurer responsible for recovering these never before seen treasures ! before she asks, no, he will not take her with him on the next expedition... okay maybe he can be talked into taking her on the next expedition. or retiring to be part of her security ? but he has stories for days, is dripping in charisma, has zero tolerance for stupid people, and i think they'd get along famously.

mina bahrami. let her draw mia like one of her french girls. seriously though. portraits / art for rich , powerful , influential people is kinda her thing. or at least part of it. commissioned for specific pieces or as a live artist at fancy events. a 10/10 girls girl, mina would be the one to swoop in and steer mia away from unsavory people. anyone mina recognizes from her vigilantee work is someone she would warn mia away from. like yeah, i know he's handsome and charming but he's facilitated war crimes. we don't touch that, babygirl.

Did he- No, he doesn't have to finish that question, even within his own thoughts. He didn't expect this. Not the rescue, not the person conducting it, not the violence in which it has been carried out.

Black Ops troops who get caught don't make it back. He knows this. He knows it as he's lying in the cell, awaiting what is certainly coming. He knows it until- the call of Vode. The sounds of panicked battle. Screaming. A member of the terrorist cell holding him comes running into the cell, pointing a blaster at him, screaming about how he'll go out a martyr-

Green lightsaber. Bright and beautiful. A familar small figure. And as the terrorist falls- Jaing breathes out relief.

“Hello again”

My muse has been missing for a long time. Send “Hello again” for my muse to show up at your muse’s door.

A rushed hyperspace jump. A sloppy press of his hands to the controls, because he's taking fire and there's alarms going off in every direction. He doesn't have enough fuel for whatever coordinates he punched in, and so he jumps to hyperspace but drops out after a few hours, and just.. drifts. Slowly. Towards the green planet.

Jaing is slumped over in the pilot's chair, vision dancing in twos, and threes. It's so miracle to bring the ship down. It's another miracle that he doesn't bring it down into a swamp and lose it immediately. Finally, the alarms shut off. The ship goes still and quiet.

He thinks he sleeps.

Jaing stumbles his way down the gangway, and looks around the swamp he's managed to crash onto, and groans. This is- not good.

There's no sign of settlements on the scanners. He grabs some kit, and begins setting up a shelter on the firmest seeming ground.

Had he been on his own, Anakin would have pushed forward, skirting the edge of the dark he had been taught to resist. On the battlefield there was no time or use for the Jedi's caution and Anakin had seen victory at the expense of his teachings. Weren't the lives of the innocent and the lives of his men more important than whether he had kept strict adherence to the Code? A question he would never ask outright. Not to Obi-Wan and definitely not to the Grandmaster. In spite of his own misgivings, Anakin held great respect for Yoda. But they weren't alike.

They were night and day. They matched well on the battlefield. As in sync as he and Obi-Wan could be, not a step out of place. Whether that was simply the old master's years of experience or because their opposing force melded well with one another, Anakin couldn't say. All he knew was how Yoda's grasp of the Force was bright, all encompassing and serene. Anakin felt it in the push and pull of the Force, tempering his own inferno that burned too brightly.

He would have pushed forward, damn the pain that lit up his side-- it would be gone soon enough. The Force would mend the wound as easily as the blaster had burned skin. All Anakin had to do was surge forward with all the care of a forest fire and ignore the pain like he always did. What happened to him didn't matter. But the others? His men?

That was a different story. And so, since he was not alone, and the enemy was far too close to surrounding them, he let his better nature lead. In the quiet peace of the cave, Anakin grit his teeth in defiance of his own mortality. Before Yoda, he felt almost ashamed of his past actions. Did the old master know of how often Anakin's whirlwind nature skirted too close to the sun? Did he know how comfortable he was taking risks that most Jedi would balk at, even the Grandmaster himself?

"This is nothing," Anakin said, gaze flicking away from Yoda's too perceptive stare. "I've had worse."

Yoda had been there for worse. He didn't like how he had to be here, now, witnessing another moment of weakness Anakin would prefer not to address.

"Besides, it'll heal a lot faster than if someone else had been hit. No point in worrying about it."
