In a world full of chaos

In this world full of chaos

i came across a shadow

it did take my shape and so

never did i cease to believe its mine.

but they said its time i know

that its not worth the show

but what show were they referring to?

i dare not ask, it didn't matter after all.

my tears flow at night, pillow soaking wet

dead dark inside, no shadow was set.

 always with me, just not at my darkest hours,

why do i need it, like winter showers.

it struck me then, that they are right

then why should i, its not worth the fight.

i could get rid of it, i raise my chin

let the show begin, i might fit in.

i tried so hard to make it look different

then maybe i wouldn't have to call it mine.

and they'll take me, to where they say i belong

it would finally make sense; this chaotic world.
