- “Goodbye! I’m off!” :D and our adventure begins :D

- “All right! Let’s go! I’m gonna be King of the Pirates!” :)

Chapter 589: Edo Tensei Released

He's never denied that he could become King of the Pirates until now. He was really shaken up by this.

And it’s not even losing that makes him doubt his dream, it’s being unable to save Ace. He’s lost plenty of times before and every time he just came back and tried again. But with saving Ace there is no trying again, he only had one shot to save him.
