They say Alexis Rhodes is the queen of the Obelisk Blues? Clearly they haven't met Tali. A duelist of incredible skill, but her opponents see her as a monster when her duel disc is active.

Tali runs a spellcaster/counter/control deck. Focusing on stopping her opponent's moves, while bringing out her best cards.

Would I rp as her? With enough interest.

Character Creation meme

@unexpected-profundity tagged me for this, thank you so much! Any excuse to talk about my children. I tag @homingpidgeon, @omni-8bit, and @mewsly if you want!

Isaac was the first character I came up with for my current project, so he gets to go first.

1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?

His profession, I wanted to write a good good science boi

2. Did you design them with any other characters/OCs from their universe in mind?

He came pre-packaged with an enemies-to-begrudging-ally deuteragonist, free of charge

3. How did you choose their name?

He’s named for an old Shadowrun character of mine with whom he has very little in common. I eventually changed his last name from Ramirez to Diaz in honor of Rosa Diaz, my wife and love of my life

4. In developing their backstory, what elements of the world they live in played the most influential parts?

The space-future’s medical science is significantly more advanced than our own. Not only did science facilitate his transition, the capabilities of this tech to save lives inspired Isaac to become a doctor and scientist himself

5. Is there any significance behind their hair colour?

Only that dark hair is common in Central America

6. Is there any significance behind their eye colour?

Again, brown eyes are common in folks of Central American descent

7. Is there anything significance behind their height?

I like tol bois. Also making him gangly and awkward and then sticking him on a small spaceship amuses me because I am a sadist apparently

8. What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story?

Isaac and I share a personal creed to be kind and do good. He’s way better at it than I, though

9. Are they based off of you, in some way?

Our philosophies are similar, if not our actions

10. Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?

Yes, but I’m writing him for a game where romance is A Thing, so it was kind of relevant (all of the main characters are bi)

11.  What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: Writing, drawing, edits etc.)?

I have a very specific image of him in my head, which I have trouble translating into a picture for others to see, despite the fact that I supposedly have a degree in drawing and painting

12. How far past the canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story, if at all? 

Not far yet, we’ll see how things go

13. If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be?

He will do the Good Thing even if it’s a terrible idea, and is really bad at taking care of himself

14. What is something about your OC that can make you laugh?

He’s afraid of being on a spaceship (spoiler alert, the story takes place in space)

15. What is something about your OC that can make you cry?

He’s so tired, he just needs a nap so badly

16. Is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story?

I feel really bad about fridging his earlier love interest :(

17. What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC?

He has a younger brother who keeps hitting him up for money

18.  What is your favourite fact about your OC?

He’s a better person than I

Character: General San

Affiliation: Galra

Background: Not everyone fighting for the throne is working in the spotlight. There is one individual that no one will see coming. Someone who is carefully crafting a plan that could lead to Voltron’s demise. Perhaps the paladins should worry less about the threats they can see in front of them, and more about what’s hiding in the shadows. General San is coming, and nothing will prepare the Coalition for what will follow.

i tried doing this challenge which is to basically create a character which is a mash-up of all your favorite fictional ones
