Maybe they grow fish scales or crow feathers on some parts of their body.

Maybe their eyes might turn into snake or cat eyes.

They might have monstrous rat teeth instead of fangs and hawk talons instead of sharp claw-like nails.

You have an entire world of animals, creature and critters at your disposal.

“The Wavelings” In our reality’s Bronze Age, there was a total societal and technological collapse, manifested in the destruction or abandonment of most cities in the Mediterranean region, a huge decline in literacy, the collapse of centralized states, trade routes broken, all of it happening at roughly the same time.
