Meteor - Drarry, Jegulus, and some others rock up too - @jeggyverses-jegulus-microfic - word count: 793
Family game night was…well, it was not going well. For James and Regulus at least.
Harry was having a great time, honestly. Mostly at his parents' expense.
Harry and Draco had been dating for a few months now and had made their relationship public just before the end of the school year.
So, James had decided that it was time to meet Draco properly. He had obviously met the boy a few times in the 6 years that the two boys had been at school, but James declared that this was different. He needed to meet Draco in his capacity as father of the boyfriend. Harry had rolled his eyes, but when he'd floo'd Draco to ask him, Draco had agreed. Saying it was just one dinner, it would be fine.
However, as soon as Lily had found out that Draco was coming to dinner, she had decided that she had to be there too. It was only fair, after all. If James and Regulus were meeting Draco as fathers of the boyfriend, then the mothers of the boyfriend should be in attendance too.
So, what was supposed to have been a small dinner for 4 people, had now spiralled into dinner with all 4 of his parents, his two uncles, his sister and his cousin. It seemed nobody wanted to miss out!
Harry had been fuming when he had found out just how big this family dinner was going to be, so, to get his revenge, he had told Draco that, when Regulus inevitably gave him first dibs on what game to play first, Draco needed to suggest charades.
Which, he did.
Harry watched as Regulus’ face fell into an unreadable mask. But Harry knew, deep down, his Pa was raging. He hated charades.
Regulus glared at Harry, but never one to be called an ungracious host, Regulus conceded and the game had begun.
They had split up into couples, Teddy and Luna pairing up as the only uncoupled two.
Regulus was currently flailing his arms through the air, desperately trying to get James to guess the movie “Deep Impact.” However, the move Regulus was using to convey the meteor hitting the earth was looking a bit more sexual than he had intended.
The result was a room full of adults and teenagers crying with laughter, as James started shouting any random movie he could think of and Regulus got redder in the face as he got more frustrated with James.
“TIME!” Sirius shouted as he paused the stopwatch.
“Bloody hell, Potter! How hard was it to guess “Deep sodding Impact!"” Regulus raged, throwing his hands in the air and slumping down on the sofa in between his husband and son.
“Babe, honestly, I was two seconds away from guessing titles inappropriate for 40% of the room, given your insane hand gestures!” James tried to reason as he also attempted to hide his smile.
Regulus refused to look at James and Harry heard him mutter, “I'm filing for divorce,” under his breath. James must have heard him too, because he chuckled lightly and planted a kiss on Regulus’ cheek and put a hand on his knee.
“You brought this on yourself, Pa.” Harry murmured to Regulus, nudging him with his elbow.
“I didn't arrange this night, it was your mum and dad!” Regulus seethed, just as quietly. His annoyance at war with his hosting manners.
“Yeah, but you didn't stop him and besides, I saw you interrogating Draco at dinner. What else was I supposed to do, but get my own back?”
Regulus breathed deeply and side eyed Harry. “Harry James Potter, you are too much like your father.” He huffed, crossing his arms.
Harry chuckled and threaded an arm through his Pa's. “I'm as much you and mum as I am dad and you know it. All three of you are just as bad as each other.” Harry chuckled again, watching Luna act out The Lion King.
Regulus hummed. “Maybe, but in this particular instance, you are James through and through.”
“Fair.” Harry conceded with a smile and dropped his head to Regulus’ shoulder. Regulus dropped his head down to meet Harry's.
A beat later, as Teddy guessed correctly and Lily stood up for her turn, Harry whispered to Regulus.
“Do you like him?” He heard the slightest worry in his voice.
“He's a very sweet boy,” Regulus answered. “And he likes you a lot. Though I can't see why.” He joked.
“Oi!” Harry exclaimed, nudging his Pa again.
“I jest, of course. He's lucky to have you and you him.”
“I really like him, Pa.” Harry sighed.
Draco was talking with Remus and Teddy, making them laugh and Harry felt his heart soften.

Blame it on the nights I got a couple scars
But maybe I'm just like this"

I don't belong here, how 'bout you?
You can have my seat, it's yours for free
But I still get punished for good deeds"
