Kanin's relationship with his dad is so special and endearing

His dad raised him so gently and caringly. When Kanin was done he would comfort him, he did push him to reach his goals and potentials, but Kanin was always allowed to fail and make mistakes. His dad would only encourage him to try again. Hearing him say "It's okay. Just breathe" was very healing and moving. Of course he was probably extra gentle because Kanin is the prince but he truly loved him like a son and treated him as such. That's why Kanin said: I only want to be your son. That was heart-breaking. The best thing Kanin thinks he could be and wants to be, is to be his son.
