Hello :) I have Norman Reedus and Kaya Scodelario by Fleur-Sims. Norman reaploaded here: simfileshare(.)net/download/4963767/ and Kaya is here: simfileshare(.)net/download/4963768/
Hello charlotkas! :-D thank you so much! Added them to the list<3
Now let’s take a moment to THANK @charlotkas-simblr ❤️💖💝 for my Halloween gifts 🎃👻🎁🍭🍬🍫🍁 (Including ^ this gorgeous hairstyle 😭🤤😍)
You’ve made my shitty day a very happy one!
Which one's mine? (Fantastic editing, I might add! <3)
Gabriella Newson is the sim in yellow... sorry her back was turned XD There were more of yours, but they were sat on the left and that doesn’t show in the final shots.
This was the whole cast (plus two Theas (one hidden that I ended up not using) and one Octavious XD). There was to be a fourth image to show the whole interior of the train, I was just not being able to frame it as I wanted and gave up on it, I was having enough problem as it was...
For @wellofloneliness, @charlotkas-simblr, @lilleputtu, @princesspiratecat, and @niamh-sims...
wellofloneliness replied to your post “Will we see more jonesi bed blankets from you someday? I've been away...”
why couldn't you repository the curtians to the bedblanket??? why would it be different than anything else?
In order to repository something, the texture images have to be the same. I know that the texture image for the bed blanket is just a 512x512 square, but I don’t remember what the texture image for the curtains looks like. So, it may or may not be possible to repository them. I keep meaning to look, but it seems that whenever I have SimPE open, it just doesn’t cross my mind.

I'm in awe with these screens, I love it when nature in sims shown like this *-*
Спасибо большое! Sometimes, I make lots that mostly exist just to fill in space in the neighborhood. Often, in more “developed” neighborhoods, it’s parking lots, but also it can be nature-y lots like this one, whether or not they’re actually functional. It’s a way to have “neighborhood deco” that is in the same scale as the stuff on the “real” lots. (Because sometimes deco is waaaaay out of scale.) It takes more time than just setting down neighborhood deco, but sometimes the effect is worth it.
So, I tend to see fishing spots this way. Yes, they serve a purpose when playing the game -- sometimes a very important purpose, if the rule is that Sims have to live on what they can grow/catch! -- but they’re also nice scenery. You can load up the lot in build mode and take nice “scenery pics” of them without the low-res look of neighborhood deco.
lilleputtu replied to your post “I give to you replies! :D”
I actually use the sun&moon trees for earning my sims houses in edona's glade. I just happen to also count branches as "wood" units. my real bottleneck is the "stone" units :D
That’s true! I forget that you can harvest branches from mature trees anytime! :) Although I think if I did that, I’d have to make the number of branches that needed to be collected pretty high because otherwise, that makes things pretty easy. Depending on the number of mature trees on the lot, of course. IIRC, for fires, the Sim has to have 3 bunches of branches or one stack of firewood, so that might be a good ratio, I suppose.

This is like my hood's fishing spot, there is a tee-pee and camping gear. Lovely!
Yeah, this has the cabin-tent, a community-lot grill (so no fridges needed), a toilet bush, and a barrel shower lodged in a tree. So that pretty much takes care of the motives. It might not be the most comfortable lot in the world, but it won’t kill anyone if they stay there for a day or three. :) Since I use the Community Time mod, I do like to send Sims away on little in-neighborhood “vacations” sometimes. Especially if a huge household gets a little overwhelming. Sending one of the parents and half the brood off to go fishing or whatever for a couple of days is a nice little break for the player. :)
niamh-sims replied to your photo “And, for the hell of it, the eldest two of the founding couple’s kids....”
They are gorgeous!
Thanks! Though I can’t really take any credit for them. My game makes all of my Sims, including ones in CAS. I never touch Bodyshop, myself. I just default-replace all the CAS stuff and hit the “random” button a couple times until an acceptable-looking Sim appears, apply some face-kit “makeup” stuff, and that’s it. Born-in-games get a bit of face-kit stuff when they reach child-age. I can’t be bothered any farther than that, other than changing a hair style here and there. *laugh* I figure I can spend time on lots or on Sims but not both. Guess which one I choose? :)
mikexx2 replied to your photo “Trying to figure out a hair’s mapping. There are probably easier ways,...”
This is also my preferred method! Also that mapping is insane.
twofee replied to your photo “Trying to figure out a hair’s mapping. There are probably easier ways,...”
i also use this method!
mrs-mquve replied to your photo “Trying to figure out a hair’s mapping. There are probably easier ways,...”
That's how I do it, too, it makes my life a lot easier :)
charlotkas-simblr replied to your photo “Trying to figure out a hair’s mapping. There are probably easier ways,...”
I do that too!! :D
Yesssss I am not alone in using the eye-searing rainbow method! Also @mikexx2 at least most of them are loose strands, so the highlight placement wasn’t much of an issue.
With lots of really belated replies, as is the custom.
@immerso-sims replied to your photoset “What’s in my Sim’s bag backpack? I was tagged by @sims-influence -...”
Dang, Gabriel can fit a lot into a backpack! Then again, as you've mentioned, he happens to be a wizard, so all is possible. I might do the tag after I'm back from my summer no-posting hiatus. :)
Well, sims canonically have inventories that can store an entire room’s worth of furniture in them, so I reckoned a magic backpack wouldn’t be such a big stretch of the imagination. :D Besides, he probably doesn’t need to pack all that hotchpotch into his backpack... some things (like the med kit and the tent bag) function as storage spaces on their own, and some of the bigger stuff (like the shovel and the machete) can just be attached to the backpack externally (most campers’ backpacks have special straps for that sort of thing, don’t they?)
Have fun on your break! :) And don’t worry about the tag, Tumblr won’t go anywhere. :)
@nekosayuri replied to your photoset “What’s in my Sim’s bag backpack? I was tagged by @sims-influence -...”
That's A LOT of stuff XD
Keyword: magically extended backpack. :D But real talk now, those are all the worldly possessions he owns right now, poor sod; if you take that into account it’s really not that much stuff.

what the heckie this is so cool
Thank youuu. :D Probably less cool is the fact that I completely forgot about GoS’ Treasure Hunt deadline because of these pics, yikes! D:
@simblu, replied to your post:
Interesting read.
Why thank you. ^_^ I was lowkey afraid that the post would end up being tl;dr, but I’m glad that isn’t the case.

Looks great!
First off, allow me to say a big heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you who commented on the graveyard photoset! <3 I know I take goddamned ages to reply to comments and even when I do get around to it I’m usually at a loss for words, but please know that I read every comment and appreciate them very, very much. <3
And now for a few individual replies...

This looks so gorgeous😍 I tried to build autumn cemetery on the hill and I failed, yours looks so good, and the atmosphere gives you chills just by looking at screenshots🙈
I appreciate you saying that! ^___^ The secret is that the ‘hill’ was already there, I simply picked a part of the hood that had very steep terrain and placed my lot there. :) All I had to do was build the fence and plop down some tombs and greenery. :)
princess-arystal21 replied to your photoset “Here’s the latest of Wyvern’s Bay’s ‘location’ community lots...”
This is beautifully done :). I love Celtic artwork in general, and this has a wild, spooky look to it.
Thank you, that was the intention! :D And I agree, Celtic art is absolutely beautiful! I’m glad I managed to capture some of that aesthetic in my lot. ^__^
In all seriousness, I actually incorporate a lot of Maxis in my custom buildings and decorating contests of yonder years at Black Pearl Sims. I make a theme for the build and decorate according to that. I also try to keep it simple, unless a novelty build like the Grim Bunny Club House.
I think it is a little bit to do with color patterns too. I decide, for instance Baltic Ave 001, I use the same colors on the outside in the inside: red, white, black, and a dash of modern brick. It really becomes tough at times to match though, especially with kitchen counters as not all of them have bar options. As with that particular house, the island is different from the counters.
I really like experimenting with space too, finding different ways to arrange furniture in the same 4X5 room. I might add a fireplace or some distinction to divide it up or make it more difficult to face furniture a particular way. Most modern rooms are made that way nowadays.
If I ever did a video showing me build and decorate, it would probably make everyone shake their heads one billion times as I decide against and for a particular sofa or chair or wallpaper. I am indecisive until I am either happy or just like: well, that is that, like it or not.
It also helps to look up inspiration pictures, especially the outside for me. I am the world’s worst roof builder as I have tried with my builds of late not to use the automatic roofing options. I am not a landscaper for sure. I generally lean towards the more suburban feel with fencing, sidewalks, and concrete paths leading to backyards and such. I know I favor certain bushes and trees offered in Maxis and those are generally ones I use in my custom builds. The same for potted plants too.
So I guess in a nutshell, I am just familiar with the items the game offers? And I just pick what matches a particular theme I choose for the lot.
