The Cambridge Family in 2019 ♛
2019 has been another wonderful year for the Cambridges AND for Cambridge watchers. After a slightly slow start to the year - in which they visited the other three countries which are part of the UK (x) (x) (x) - the Cambridges hit the ground running. During the year, they have officially launched a number of projects, including SHOUT (with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex), William’s Heads Up football campaign, and, my personal favourite, Catherine’s Back To Nature garden. Catherine’s work with Early Years has also been slowly bubbling away in the background; she has held Early Years Steering Group meetings, met with midwifes, and has spent time with many of her patronages. In the course of the year, Catherine has also gained new patronages, such as the Royal Photographic Society. This has also been a good year for them personally. Willima’s sister-in-law gave birth to their nephew, Archie, and William and Catherine attended Archie’s christening in July. All three of the Cambridge children have also attended engagements this year. As well as the usual Trooping the Colour, the three Cambridge cuties joined their mama at the official unveiling of her Back to Nature garden at the Chelsea Flower Show. Little Charlotte even had her first day at school! During the year, Catherine was invested with the GCVO and the Duke and Duchess attended Ascot, Order of the Garter, and Commonwealth Day. The Duke and Duchess also attended the US State Banquet in June and Catherine attended the NATO Reception in December. As well as their visit to Northern Ireland in February, the Cambridges toured Pakistan in October, while William visited Kuwait and Oman in December. I cannot wait to see what my babies do next year - we should see Louis start school, more tours, Catherine’s Early Years’ Initiative, and the Cambridges become the fully fledged royals they are meant to be.
