The Cambridge Family in 2017 ♛
2017 has been a historic year for the Cambridges. Our tiny little Prince George enjoyed his very first day at school (on September 7th, not 4th!) on the same day his loving parents, William and Catherine, announced they were expecting their third baby! The Cambridges also went on a family tour, a number of overseas visits (Paris, Luxembourg, Belgium, Finland), and began their final transition into becoming full time royals. 2017 was also a good year for the Cambridges’ family: they helped celebrate the 70th wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the wedding of Catherine’s sister, Pippa, to James Matthews, and the engagement of William’s brother, Harry, to Meghan Markle. Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge both undertook a variety of engagements, with William reaching his highest engagement numbers ever and Catherine doing well, considering she lost two months to illness. The couple also gained a number of new patronages each, while Heads Together, the initiative started by the couple and Prince Harry, went from strength to strength. The London Marathon closed one chapter of the royals’ work with Heads Together - and started a national conversation - and a new one is just beginning. In another record breaking year for the British Royal Family, the Cambridges showed how passionate they are about their duties, as well as their families, and have continued to grow. In the next few years, their family will be complete and they will finally become fully-fledged full time royals.
I hope my baby is well enough to take her baba to school tomorrow. On top of feeling horrific with the nausea and sickness, poor Katie must be gutted at missing her first baby's day at school. She'll have to watch it on the news. And poor Georgie will want his mama there.
