Charmed! has new dungeon equipment

Now, if you were at Charmed! and visited the dungeon you already know this, but it occurred to me that I never really posted these for the general Tumblr population to see. So ...

We have 2 St. Andrew's Crosses:

These are not actually finished pictures, because I farmed out the upholstery to someone else , but they're close. Just imagine these with a black pad where the oval is and hard points on the upper cross pieces.

This one is a little folding spanking bench. It worked okay, but I will probably remake it this year to address some issues with tipping too easily.

This is a more robust spanking bench that knocks down instead of folding up. More stable, wider, and gives a good place for the head of the spankee.

This was just a fun idea that I had to try out, and it worked really well. The height of both center pieces is adjustable (note the holes on the sides every 2 inches), so it is technically quite possible to put two people in here at once.

And then, the most popular item at Charmed! this year, was ...

Yes, it's a freestanding doll box / display box. We had a motorized base in it so the doll could slowly rotate around, but it's also good without that because of the plexiglass sides. The inside is 25x25 and it's about 6-1/2 feet tall. The best trick? With a mallet it breaks down into four walls and a base for easy transport.

These are all stored in my basement now, but you can see them for yourself next year at Charmed! 2026. (Mark your calendars -- it's Martin Luther King day weekend again.)

shoushimin season 2 already next month??? thats actually rly awesome i enjoyed s1 last year a lot :0 the art style and use of 16:9 composition made for lots of really charming scene layouts i cant wait to see more... also the colour palette was wonderful <33

story wise i really enjoyed the mundane and build up to something bigger as things moved forward.. the characters w all their quirks and flaws were fun to follow along yayy

Charmed! 2025

Y'know, I haven't done a hypnocon write-up in a long while, though I used to do full scene logs way back when. I'm not going to write anything long this time, but I feel the need to post something!

I think this was my seventh Charmed! convention, and going this year felt like going home. Every year I look forward to this con, and every year it proves worth looking forward to! No matter what personal problems try to stand in my way (this year it was a random case of hives that left me itchy all over...). I got to see my friends, hang out, and have a fantastic time! I went to a few classes, much less than in past years, but every one I went to was a fun time as we had such wonderful presenters! The Hypno-Cirque was quite the experience, and I'm tempted to figure out something to sing for it next year.

Over the course of the con, I got a surprising amount of compliments, usually on my outfit, especially when I dressed up Saturday night (and I was convinced to wear that again Sunday night for a room party). I'm really not used to that, and especially not used to people actively telling me I'm hot, so it was nice every time!

I did actually have a scene! I don't do as much pick-up play as I used to, though not for lack of effort, everyone's just always busy with one thing or another. The person I scened with was adorable, eager, and very susceptible, which made for a really fun time! And it was her first con, so I'm glad I could add to her enjoyment of it!

Now when I say going to Charmed! felt like going home... I adore this community. The hypnosis community has always been so welcoming, so open, and so accepting in ways that just make me feel comfortable! I keep up with everyone online, and though I'm admittedly not very active in bigger Discords I do read most everything. But in-person it's so much better! I will always recommend this con to hypno folks, whether or not I know if they can make it!

Taking Applications

With Charmed! 2020 now in the rear view, we are saying goodbye to TernAbout and cu_faoil, who are retiring to pursue other opportunities.  We will miss them both and with them well in all future endeavors. This creates a vacuum, and we all know nature abhors a vacuum, so we are seeking two new people to join the Charmed! concom for 2021.  We are following the "best athlete" premise, so instead of looking for people with X skill set we are looking for good people, and we will divvy up the tasks according to who is skilled with that. Want to be on our concom?  Great!    Here's what we're looking for: * Able to work well with the rest of us -- we're a pretty laid-back group overall * Able to work in an environment where there is no con chair and we reach decisions by consensus rather than voting * Able to support decisions that may not be the way you want to do things * Able to consistently make most meetings (held over Zoom, every 2 weeks from the beginning of May and then weekly from December 1 on) * Able to spend time on Discord (amount is flexible) helping to answer questions and hold Charmed!
