How I use GPT-4 for proofreading and editing my fanfics. (This is new for me, but I love it.)
This is for @therezhikitt. I promised to explain how it is I've been using ChatGPT (GPT-4) to proofread my fanfics. @therezhikitt is not familiar with GPT-4 so I figured I'd demonstrate with screenshots. So, here goes... Apologies if this reveals a little of the plot in upcoming chapters. I know some of you are readers of my story on A03 and you are at Chapter 56. Some of you are readers of my story on FFN and you are at Chapter 78. So, the bits of text you see here represent writings from both my A03 and FFN audiences. I included enough here to whet your appetites, and make my point, but not to give away the whole Tooka kit and caboodle. One final word of explanation: I started using GPT-4 as my writing partner as a way to compensate for my migraines. I double-up on words and miss words when I'm suffering from a migraine attack, and I often get these attacks daily. Migraines affect the language centers of the brain, similar to the way a stroke victim is affected by language. For a long time, it paralyzed me into not wanting to upload my writing. Having the A.I. check my writing for me before I upload it, has given me a whole new level of confidence. To me, this is more than using Grammarly. It helps me compensate for a disability.
