Chat Noir or Adrien Agreste?
“Hey (Y/N!)” Adrien called. You were best friends with Adrien since middle school. He’s like a brother to you to be honest. You hated how he was always with Chloe. And how Chloe calls him here and there, and this and that.
“Hey Adrie-” Before you can finish your sentence and greet him happy birthday, Chloe jumped in.
“Heeeey Adrien! Happy Birthday!” Gosh you hate her so much. “Maybe we can celebrate your birthday at a restaurant!!” Chloe said. Adrien tried to shut Chloe up and catch up to you but you waved goodbye and went to the tree you always hang out in.
As soon as you reached your destination, you sat down and drew and drew on a sketchbook Nathanael gave you that you didn’t know Adrien was already beside you. You kept trying to focus not to draw Chat Noir since he is like, your awesome, cute, adorable bae.
But, to your surprise, you still drew him. You sighed in frustration.
“Someone’s on the wrong side of the earth again.” Adrien said.
“EEK!!!” You stared at him with wide eyes. “Adrien! What are you doing here!! Chloe must be looking for you!”
“Jeez, don’t worry, I’m pretty sure she won’t haunt you.” Adrien chuckled. “Lemme guess, she made you mad?”
You kept thinking of what he meant about “haunting you” but you guessed it was just like, ya know, she won’t be mad at you. You kept thinking if he really likes Chloe, or maybe Marinette. You tried to stop thinking about it before you space out.
“(Y/N)?” Adrien waved a hand in front of you. “You okay?” Adrien asked. He was used to your daydreaming attitude. But he knew you don’t space out when you’re talking to someone.
“Yeah? Pfftt, Chloe? Making me mad? I’m fine.” You lied. YOU weren’t fine AT ALL. “Listen, I need to go. See ya tomorrow! HAAPPPY BIRTHDAY!” You packed your stuff and went back home.
“Yeah…and I don’t know if I like him or not!” You said to Chat. Tonight was one of those nights where you and Chat talk about your daily lives. As much as you like Chat, you don’t know if you also like Adrien.
“Well, if you tell me his name, maybe I could ask him AND tell you if he likes you back!” Chat said as he came up with the idea. “And, if he ever breaks your heart, I can punch him in the face!”
Secretly Chat was thinking, ’I always thought you liked me…Well, who am i to hope such pretty girl like you like me anyways? As long as my lady is happy, it doesn’t matter… whoever that guy is, he sure is lucky.’
“Fine, but promise me, you won’t tell ladybug, or anyone else!!” You waited for him to answer. He nodded his head and raised his hand as a promise sign. “Good, I like Adrien…Adrien Agreste.”
Silence overtook the whole room and you looked everywhere but him. Chat had wide eyes but hid it quickly and he thanked the mask that covered half of his blush. He coughed and chuckled. Then that simple chuckle turned to a laugh.
“What are you laughing at!?!?” You asked loudly and tried not to smile but failed and laughed with him instead.
“Tomorrow be prepared. 23:30, He’ll be here.” Chat said and went off.
“Man that darn cat. If Adrien doesn’t come but he does, I will make him get embarrassed.” You huffed and looked at the medium sized picture frame filled with pictures of you and Chat. It was one big awesome collage. Some pictures even had Ladybug in it.
“Good night Chat…” you smiled, went off to bed, and dreamed happily
As the teacher was teaching you felt intense stares at you, passing through you and like seeing your soul. You looked behind you to find Adrien smiling at you sheepishly. You awkwardly waved a hand signalling a ‘hi’.
The class ended quite quickly more than you expected. As you went home, Adrien caught up with you and had a small ‘talk’. But the talk wasn’t like your usual talks on the way home. Suddenly, he asked who is your crush. You thought, ’did Chat seriously asked him to do this?’
“I, uh, ermm…uhm, CHAT!! CHAT NOIR!! I like Chat Noir!” You lied. You mentally facepalmed yourself.
You thought ’WHY IN THE WORLD, WOULD I, ALYSSA LIE TO MY BEST FRIEND!’
“Really? Man, he sure is awesome and handsome anyways. Not to mention, a superhero too!” Adrien said.
In the mind of Adrien, he thought, ’is this how she acts when she is in love??’
“Yeah! He is also cute and adorable and always there and cares for people in the town!!” You giggled. You sighed though, because Adrien or Chat, you can’t have any of the two.
“Oh LOOK! MY HOUSE. I, uhm.. better get going. Bye see ya Adrien!!” You rushed inside and threw your bag to your sofa and climbed upstairs fast. “What AM I going to do with you life!!”
You kept waiting for Adrien but who came was instead Chat. “Ch-chat? W-whaat are you doing here..?” You asked.
“I did say Adrien would come here, so here he is!” Chat said with a giggle. “Oh wait, you don’t know my identity yet! No wonder your face is like that…” Chat sat down beside you.
“You? Adrien? Proof please!” You said, not believing him. You saw him transform back and indeed he was Adrien.
You almost dropped your jaw but gladly, it was still glued to a good place. “SURPRISE, MY LADY!!! or should i say, mon cherie.” Adrien whispered into your ears.
All along the love of your life was in front of you. “Je ‘taime, my cherie, I want this to be like an early birthday present. Just for you. Now, you don’t have to pick between Chat and Meee!”
He hugged you and kissed you and held you into his arms like his life was depending on it.
You laughed and said, “Je ‘taime aussi, Mon Amour.”
