Might be a hot take, I would like to know if I’m in the wrong for thinking this way. 
Does anyone else find it kind of offputting or a little bit weird? When people make Danny trans for the sole purpose of making him pregnant. I don’t know why but it kind of irks me. Like trans identity, solid right and if you’re making a character or building a character and that’s just part of their identity fantastic. To just give him a uterus to then make him pregnant with like Ellie or OC character feels weird.
I’m totally cool with getting checked so if it’s just me thing, let me know and I’ll definitely correct myself. But it just feels weird to only use transgender to get pregnant not to just have it be part of his character, but just for him to pregnant. Like they typically don’t build off of it they just make him a pregnant teen and that’s it. It just focuses on him getting pregnant. Ellie doesn’t need to be burst by him to be his daughter either so it could just be adopted Ellie and trans dad Danny. 
I have seen the reason of making him pregnant with Ellie being that he’s giving her ectoplasm and making her healthy again, but in the same instance, he can store things in his chest and body He can just do that regardless. So you can have a trans Danny and have him store Ellie‘s core in his chest or body. He doesn’t have to birth her. I don’t know if I’m explaining myself properly, but I just found it really odd. Like he doesn’t need a uterus to take care of her. So why not just make him trans and not make him pregnant.
Is that an odd take ? If you’re thinking to yourself WOW this person is a total ASS for thinking that way. You let me know, I’m not gonna fight it. I’d much rather fix my behavior and thought process.
