i promise i have more ocs other than 'trans man firefly' but i made them references for artfight so they're on hand and reasonably recent
gal is a firefly species from an extremely isolated and arctic kingdom where the gravity fluctuates due to electromagnetic fuckery, so the bugs have adapted to grow thicker/longer hair and gained internal support- bug bones
they're more arthropodic protomammals than bugs at this point
id write down what the hell happened to him but that deserves some sort of notesheet post
the earliest image i could find of backup was from february 2020, but i remember conceptualizing him in december 2019. he's a character close to my heart and my only rain world oc other than 2-4 others i still use in some capacity. his design hasn't really changed much, i've just improved at stylizing it/being able to draw the original vision i had for it.
i think in the same way people use insectoid features for human body horror, bugs should use human features for body horror
