Okay so this happened today -

cute guy from my class : damn see i finished titrations in one drop me : but why is it purple ? him and his lab partners : * visible confusion * me : *realising that these idiots threw away their Oxalic acid and dil. Sulphuric acid solution after mistaking it for water and had been boiling fucking water. And have been trying to titrate warm water and KMnO4 and couldn't understand why the solution turned purple*

Salt analysis in Chemistry Practical Exams

Teaming up with all the people who have the same sample even though it is an exam and you are supposed to work individually

Dropping acid on your hand and being scared for your life

Thinking the world is about to end when you can't identify the smell of the gas

Alternatively almost choking to death on a gas (I inhaled an unhealthy amount of Chlorine yesterday)

Is that white precipitate, or wait, it could be yellow too...why don't we have pictures to compare

Is that even a precipitate or just the solution being cloudy

Also talking to the other groups to eliminate cations and anions

Everyone in the group being assigned to try out all the confirmatory tests just to be sure

Also being mesmerized by the beautiful colors sometimes

All in all, total chaos and full-on anxiety

They didn't let us keep our nylon because it was contaminated with an organic compound I forget the name of.
