[Tatsumaki Before...]

-Clicks her tongue at Yon when he gets beaten by an opponent who was stronger as she helps him up with her powers-

Tatsumaki: Hmph! You idiot. Do you honestly think you could take on such an enemy without turning to scrap metal? You're just as bad as your tin-for-brains parent...

Yon: [-sulks as she lectures him-] I'm sorry for being a burden...

[Tatsumaki After...]

Tatsumaki: HOW 'DARE' YOU DO THAT TO HIM!! YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?! HUH?!

Yon:...T...Tatsumaki-san, really I'm fine. It's just a scratch...;; [-waves his arms to her as she practically pulverizes the guy who sliced a shallow indent through his arm during the fight.-]

Big Sis to the Rescue

Zenko sticks up for Nii during her transition.

-A group of girls sneer at Nii as she walks pass them with groceries.-

Girl 1: Ew, look~ A 'boy' is wearing a dress~

-The other girls chortle at this remark as Nii looks at them confused.-

Nii: Eh?

Girl 2: That's so weird and creepy.

Girl 3: Yeah. I wonder if that means he likes guys too.

-They roar with laughter at this, causing Nii to grow anxious-

Zenko: Hey!! Quit picking on her!!

-They all jump as they suddenly find Zenko standing before Nii like shield looking absolutely livid.-

Girl 1: Huh?...W-...What's it to you?

Girl 2: Yeah, but out.

Girl 3: A pig like you shouldn't stick your nose where it doesn't belong.

-Zenko gives an acid stare akin to her brother's that causes the three to flinch.-

Zenko: For you three to pick on someone for no good reason is absolutely pathetic. And seeing as this person is a friend of mine, you better think twice the next time you bully her.

-Feeling the ultimatum in her words the three of them decide to leave, still looking annoyed by Zenko's interference.-

Zenko: [-turns to Niii-] You okay, Nii?

Nii: [-nods-] Mm hmm.

Zenko: [-smiles-] Good. Come on, I'll walk you home.

-As they walk, Nii starts to lag behind as she contemplates-

Zenko: [-looks back-] Hm? What's wrong?

Nii: ....I-...Is it wrong?

Zenko: What is..?

Nii: The way I dress...is it wrong?

-Zenko stares as Nii looks at the ground-

Nii: Those three said it's gross and wrong because I'm not actually a girl. I thought it was fine since Sensei and Danna said it was okay, but...maybe...?!

-jumps a little as Zenko sharply claps her hands against hers that were clutching the paper bag.-

Zenko: Nii, there is absolutely nothing wrong or weird about you. You dress the way you do because it makes you feel comfortable, right?

Nii: ...Y...Yes...

Zenko: [-smiles warmly-] Then that's all that matters. Sure you're gonna meet people who will think or say mean things just cause they don't understand or are too small-minded to try, but as long as 'you' feel genuinely happy with the way you are, then you don't need to spare their unkind words a second thought. And besides, your family likes you the way you are, and I do too.[-grins wide-]

-Nii blinks as she smiles warmly, quickly brushing the oil-tears away from the corner of her eyes.-

Nii: Th...Thanks Zenko-nee.

-They continue to walk together towards Nii's place.-

Zenko: By the way, where did you get such a cute dress?

Nii: Auntie Puri made it.

Zenko: Really? I'm so jealous. Next time I'll come with you.

Nii: [-laughs a little-] Okay.

Failed Attempt

It was such a lovely early evening and it had been going perfectly so far.

Yes it was cold, but the busier part of Z City had put up their Christmas lights on trees along the roads and put up a large tree to be viewed in a park. Everything screamed the winter holiday, and it would be the first one Genos spent since living with Saitama.

Genos typically spent it with Dr. Kuseno, typically over video call since he had been traveling in search of the Mad Cyborg and he simply had no time for the holiday to pause his search. However, Saitama was different. So, Genos had asked Kuseno for permission to spend it with his sensei. Of course the professor was confused, but quickly granted his request, saying something along the lines of, “I’m proud of you for making connections.”

Thus, Genos suggested to Saitama that they go out to see the city all lit up after hearing that he hadn’t gone to see them in the past three to four years. They did.

They walked all the way to the edge of Z City to the park where the large Christmas tree was. They marveled at the food stands that had set up shop down the pathway through the park to the main tree. It was just the end of the golden hour, the light fading in the sky, so the lights were giving such a fantastic twinkle in comparison to the darkening sky. The sky was overcast but that didn’t mean it hindered the beauty.

They stopped at the railing and Genos stared in wonder at the tree before him. The railing was to keep kids from going up to it and pulling at the lights or numerous fragile ornaments. “This is incredible, sensei.” He spoke and turned his eyes to his teacher. “I have not seen a site like this before.

“Yeah I haven’t seen this thing for a few years. Bet this is pretty cool to you, huh?” Genos took note of the small smile gracing Saitama’s lips, being sure to capture a beautiful photo of it with his optic lens.

“Yes it is. Thank you for agreeing with my request, sensei.” He knew that Saitama did not like the cold, and even bundled up he could note the little shivers Saitama did every now and then.

“It’s nice to get out, and this is a nice place to be. Nostalgic...” He took the time to marvel his sensei, watching him as he stared at the tree. Saitama looked happy and pleased, like he was reliving every happy moment in his life. Offhandedly Genos wondered if he was included in those happy moments. Saitama had impacted Genos’ life completely that he could only hope he had influenced the man some. It gave hope to his crushing heart.

His attention was taken away from his sensei to the sudden sensation of something cold and wet seeping into his scalp. He put his hands on the railing and looked up the way of the tree to the sky. Fluffy, tiny, white balls of cold began to fill the sky and descend on them.

“Woah... it’s snowing!” Genos went to speak but his words fell onto a numb tongue, eyes frozen on Saitama. He looked so handsome in the lighting and seeing the snow fall around him. “It’s beautiful... don’t you think so, Genos?”

“Indeed it is, sensei...” He wasn’t talking about the snow.

“You know, Genos...” Genos glanced down at their hands, so close to touch, and back up at his sensei’s serious face. He watched the splash of emotions cross his face as he spoke, and he had to admit it looked great against the matching scarf he had made for them both in preparation for winter. “Thanks for coming into my boring life... I mean... I wouldn’t be here, having so much fun... and be a great hero if it wasn’t for you...”

The moment was too perfect, Genos thought as he stared at Saitama. This was the time to do it, to show his sensei how he felt about him.

“-- asking me for you to be my disciple... hehe,” The little laugh that left Saitama was airy, breathless just like Genos was. “Let me be your disciple!!” Saitama mimicked in Genos’ voice, a fond chuckle in his tone. His sensei failed to see Genos moving towards him slowly.

“Ah!” His left hand raised so that he could pound his fist into it lightly like one does when they come to an important revelation. “By the way, let’s have dinner at Jonasama! I wanna have steak today! It’s my treat--” Saitama turned as he slowly brought his hands from their position, “--right, Gen...os?” He had failed to notice that Genos was leaning down slightly, due to their height difference, towards him. Saitama stared, though Genos’ bangs hid his eyes which was always the gateway to Genos’ emotions and thus the answer to what was going on.

Of course he wasn’t dumb. He knew that Genos was leaning down to kiss him, and what surprised him - or maybe it didn’t - was that he didn’t move or interrupt the moment. Saitama was going to let Genos kiss him. And he wasn’t going to close his eyes to miss it.

Genos was so close, and it felt like his heart - his core - had stopped completely in this moment. He could see Saitama’s eyes through his bangs and it only made this moment so much more. Saitama wasn’t going to stop him. It was like he was giving him a silent OK to kiss him, to make this perfect moment truly perfect. After all, today had felt like a date - or at least what his database told him dates would be like - and he had been hoping for it to end up like one with a shared kiss under the tree.

Everything was perfect. He was less than five centimeters from Saitama’s lips. He could feel his warm breath against his face, his nose gently bumping against Saitama’s as he brushed past.

Almost...  there...

“UWAH!”

Tong!

“It’s snowing! So pretty!!” The squeal from the girl had interrupted the romantic moment, and everything was going south. Genos had abruptly ripped himself away from Saitama and turned right into the light post he had been standing beside which had resulted in a loud sound.

Genos pressed against the pole, a blush completely covering his face. He wanted to become the pole right at that moment, dying over what he had just tried to do.

“L-L-Let’s go Genos!” Genos’ core whirred loudly. “I’m starving!” Genos fell into a crouch, hand covering his flustered face.

“What am I doing?! Geez...” Genos gripped his face harder as steam rolled off of his body in waves thanks to his core needing to kick his cooling system into high gear to keep himself from overheating. That was all Genos wanted to do though, to just melt into the ground. “Sensei’s probably grossed out by it...”

“Sir! Are you okay!?!” The girl who - cluelessly - interrupted such a crucial moment rushed to see if he was okay.

Genos had completely missed the way Saitama had flushed a deep shade of red when they had pulled apart thanks to his own embarrassment that kept him from even so much as a glance back at his crush. If he had he would’ve seen the way Saitama’s blush extended all the way over his bald head ( something he would have marveled at. )

Listen we need more Boros being a badass too. Like he’s the Dominator of the Universe right? So lets see him destroying planets, going supernova, conquering empires. 

I really love how you had a pink background to the art because pink galaxies mean star creation. That’s usually where there’s a mass of ionised hydrogen which was caused by hot stars nearby giving off ultraviolet rays. 

And why did I just go off on that tangent? Because when Boros does his Collapsing Star thing, he gives off a shit ton of ultraviolet rays. Aka Boros helped ionize that section of space and helped in the creation of new stars.

Genos:What are you drawing, Nii?

Nii: Sensei with hair~[-she stopped to look up at him-]

Genos: Really? Mind if I see?

-She gladly shows him her work so far.-

Genos: [-impressed-] Wow, you're very good, Nii.

Nii:[-smiles happily-] Sensei said that he had black short hair, but I wanted to draw it a little longer like Amai Mask. Don't you think he looks handsome this way, too?

Genos: Of course. Sensei is always quite good-looking with or without hair. [-says with absolute pride-]

Nii:[-nods in agreement-] But what do you think he would have been like if he still had hair, Danna?

Genos:[-that was actually a good question-] I would daresay he would be very high in the popularity ranks, since society is known to prize those of aesthetically pleasing qualities, and-...

-Genos' daydream-
