Sri Chennakesava Temple

Sri Chennakesava Temple, Belur, Karnataka, is one of the magnificent architectural marvels. Bhagwan Chennakesava is believed to be an avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu. It is believed that it took 3 generations for the completion of this temple.

It also has carvings of Ramayana, Mahabharata, image depiction of Jina and Bhagwan Buddha making it a testimony to the artistic, cultural and religious perspectives in 2nd-century South India.
