If we do get a Crimson Long event and they have a special twst character appear, what Mulan character would you like said Twst character to be based off of?

I mean, it depends? Canonically speaking, events where new characters appear tend to be Halloween stories that feature the Iconic Bad Guy of the film (so that would be Shan Yu) or a hometown event with a character that is deeply related to the SSR. I guess that might be Lilia in this case, since he’s connected with the Land of Crimson Long, but we don’t know for sure. It could literally be anyone from Mulan at that point, since a lot of the characters are associated with war or supporting the war effort.

If I had to base my reply solely based on what I want (while completely disregarding Twst’s trends)… I love the three stooges that are Mulan’s army buddies, but they mainly serve as comic relief so I don’t think I’d get much out of seeing them twisted. I do think they’d fit in with NRC’s vibes though, especially if we’re talking the pre-meeting-Mulan versions of them that were full of themselves and constantly roughhousing. I thought about Chi-Fu (the Emperor’s scribe and advisor) too, but again he’s comic relief and might be too similar to Kifaji.

I’d really like to see Mushu and the cricket as characters, since I feel like those would add the most worldbuilding and fresh lore. I want to learn more about dragons from other parts of the world, and I want to see how they’d translate a whole ass BUG that says nothing but chirps into a character 😭

All the Disney guests got bored of the robots and I prefer the real Mickey and his friends

So if you think about it first donald and goofy destroy the robot machine but that causes them to deconfigure

Example

Robot goofy He throws pizzas at Captain Hook

Donald the robot kicks mushu out of the club because he thinks I smoke

So Mickey and his friends do this to get rid of the robots

Minnie tells her robot version that some shows were canceled causing robot Minnie to destroy herself because she was not set to cancel.

Daisy He takes away his robot version's opportunity to talk to the guests by causing it to destroy itself

Goofy challenges his robot version to make his fall. With his shout the robot accepts and destroys himself on the ground.

Donald He teaches his robot version what the temper tantrum causes his robot to destroy

Mickey uses his cartoon trick like the water bucket trap with his robot version causing him to decompose

Everyone is happy that the real Mickey and company are returning

But what if Chi-Fu really has a girl back home who's unlike any other - a woman who is soft, kind, and understanding, who just gets him, his sense of humor, his conservatism, and just him as a whole person, and, most of all, she loves him with this one, unique feeling, unlike any other.

Today's imperfect smile belongs to Chi-Fu from Mulan who has an underbite and missing teeth.

My sister and I wound up talking about some of the Mulan songs, and we got to the bit where Chi-Fu--

(that’s this guy:)

--claims to have ‘a girl back home who’s unlike any other.’

Now, based on the way Disney set up the next couple seconds it seems we’re meant to read this as a likely ‘girlfriend who lives in Canada’ moment, where Chi-Fu, being ugly and sexist, is some sort of classical-chinese incel pretending to have success with women.

But that’s absurd because one of the first things the movie establishes about the setting (after like, ‘the daughters of rural gentlemen feed their own chickens’ and ‘pet dogs exist’) is that this is not a society where a man’s personal attractiveness to women has any great impact on his marriage prospects.

And Chi-Fu despite his current scut assignment with their unit clearly has a reasonably prominent role in court, of which he is very proud; this is a man with a successful career in the bureaucratic sector. No doubt very good at exams. It would be weird for him not to be married by his age, although if as implied he doesn’t come from a very good family he may have waited until relatively late.

So, he probably has a wife. And he likes her? Or at least is proud of her? (Assuming she’s even who he’s talking about, of course.)

Anyway long story short we now have clear headcanons about Chi-Fu’s wife, who is fifteen years younger than him and likes him okay, since he’s not cruel or anything, but her favorite thing about him is how rarely he’s ever home.

He suspects this, but is mostly in denial.
