You said you like w.i.t.c.h well what did you think about each character?

I like them all.

At some point I disliked Will for hogging too much spotlight, like the Kandrakar’s heart amulet with its generic pink powers of goodness is often the deus-ex-machina solution to many situations, and I felt that Will’s special connection to it made the other four girls into less important bystanders a bit too often, but overall I find that the series managed to balance its cast pretty well (especially if you compare it to pretty much every other series with a magical girl team that I know). Like even in just the first arc Will gets the magic amulet, but Hay Lin gets the magic map and a magic grandma, while Cornelia has special connections to the Dark Magical Girl.

I didn’t care too much for Taranee when I was younger since her more calm and stable personality came across as somewhat boring to me, but later I’ve really grown to appreciate how refreshing it is that for once the character with the fire powers isn’t the energetic and reckless loudmouth. I also really like the arc where she temporarily quits the team but without any stupid drama (since she has perfectly valid reasons).

And I also really like Irma, Cornelia and Hay Lin and think they’re well written characters; Irma and Cornelia make a great duo with their conflicting personalities and Hay Lin has always been my favourite character with her carefree and artsy personality. But I’d have to reread the story to say anything more interesting about them.

Overall I think that the character writing is one of W.i.t.c.h.’s greatest strengths. The characters react differently to the situations they’ve been put into, act independently, disagree on what to do at times, and have different relationships with each other (and not just with the main character). Though as far as I can remember as the series goes on and on they become more of the generic friendly mess as what is common with many other magical girl teams, and the arguments they have get more repetitive and boring when they need to disagree on something again just to have some conflict in the story.

Oh god I remember the video FITHER made which was just a thinly veiled insult on femc fans under wraps of being an analysis. Seriously if you watch be ready to CRINGE.

I did watch and I can’t stand that prick. It kept popping up in my recommended videos until I caved and watched it and it was worse than I could have possibly imagined. He doesn't like the fans which morphed into him taking it out on the character to stroke his superiority complex and just gross. Keep him out of the fandom and a thousand miles away from female characters thanks. - Mod Velvet

This is just the tip of the iceberg, and I sincerely hope nothing ever pushes us to the point where we get actually pissed off. We try to be nice and friendly but picture this blog like a house. It’s our house and we invite people in to come sit on our couch and hang out, then someone pisses on our rug right in front of us. A firm stop it is a lot better than us kicking everyone out, y’know? 

We can get angry, like, really angry. I almost deleted the entire blog at one point when I got mad at inconsiderate people, this is about the nicest way I’ve handled rude people. Long story short, people should be more understanding that when we say requests aren’t open, they don’t get to try and sneak one in. So you're very right that people need to learn to take no for an answer, especially after I said this was like a probation period. - Mod Velvet
