light hc: he was legit super shy as a kid, like, hiding behind his parents legs when meeting other ppl. but then when he got older he noticed how much less intelligent everyone else seemed to be, and sort of pushed himself out of th shyness with the mentality of 'theres no reason for it since they're not as smart as me' and the disappointment he felt when trying to fin people that challenged him

aaaaaa even though i never personally figured Light for the shy type, this is still so cute!! his mother would set him up on play dates with her friends’ daughters and they’d be like O NAMAE WA NANI DESU KA (what’s your name??) and Light would be too shy to even say it aloud he would write it down and the girl would be like “tsuki-kun?? that’s so cute!!” (read: KAWAI~!!) and he’d blush because wtf um hell no. he can never muster the courage to correct them tho

Speaking of stuffed animals: Light had a favorite stuffed toy when he was little (idk why but I'm feeling giraffe) and he brought it everywhere and loved it until it was worn. Eventually he realized that he was getting too old for toys so he told everyone he threw it away. He still has it under his bed.
