#chilly run

Another chilly long run today. I was a bit tried after my Park Run effort yesterday. Did I mention I went to Park Run yesterday for the first time in ages. We did an out and back along the beach front. Today's long run was also chilly and very wet underfoot. There were lots of interesting fungi to look at as I ran. I found myself smack in the middle of a Back Yard Ultra at about my 10km mark so had to extract myself pretty quickly. I don't think spending the night in the forest in a tent would be much fun this time of year. The two racers I saw were still smiling though.

Right onwards, I have laundry to sort and stitching to do. I do hope your Sunday has more sunshine than mine has.

It seemed to be a very long day today. I was very happy to leave the office and get out in the fresh air for my walk towards home. The temperature had dropped considerably since lunchtime and there were big clouds rolling in from the south. Hubby took a while to catch up with me today. He had to wait for a train. Twice. Once home I got changed and headed out the door for my Thursday run. I ran down to the beach and then ran into the southerly wind to the surf club. The sea was a beautiful shade of green blue, it made me feel even colder looking at it as I ran. I got home just as Daughter arrived for tea. We picked some Daffs for her to take home. She got about twenty pieces in the puzzle tonight. She really does have her eye in. I am struggling to get one piece a day in at the moment. I hope your day was warmer and a lot less boring than mine.

I made it out the door despite the -4ºC temperature. The footpaths were slippery so I headed into the forest. It was chilly in there so I decided to run down the beach. We have had a lot of rain lately and I found my usual trails flooded so there was a lot of stopping and starting before I finally found my way to the beach. It was much warmer running on the beach so I ran north for about 7km then I headed back via the beachfront track. It was chilly on the track but I found running on the beach really gleary and it was doing my eyes in so the track it was for the run home. My phone died due to the cold I think so I didn't take many pictures, it was too cold to stop anyway.

Out for a brisk 3 miles after work today! It was chilly, but I actually ended up over dressing! I didn't mind though, it was a short run so I just kept going. These miles felt good though! Just ran without looking at my watch so I just went with it :) I'm planning on taking tomorrow as a rest day. I did some core work after my run today and noticed a lot of soreness in various parts of my body. Time to give it a day to rest :) Happy Friday eve!!
