Oh, apologies, apologies || Lily & Chip
From the vantage point from her bed, Lily could see Fauna and Charlotte gushing about their holidays. What they'd done, who'd they'd seen, how they were ever so exited to be back. Normally being the one to join in with them, although with decidedly less pep, they were a bit more than shocked when she'd decided to grab one of her texts and call it a night.
Their incisive chattering really was getting on Lily's last nerves, and these thoughts themselves didn't escape her notice. She was the nice one, always trying to make everyone happy, hardly ever pessimistic. But tonight. Well, let's just say it was hardly the night for that.
Was the fight last night with Chip really affecting her that much? Growing up, the twins had been nearly inseparable, and Hogwarts hadn't changed that. Up until the summer of 5th year. One argument, and almost the entire holiday was spent in mutual silence. Last night though, was probably the first time she'd actually cried about it though. At least publicly, and never before in front of him.
Lily knew that her brother loved her, as she did him. But she also knew that he'd never come to her first. And, unless she wanted their reconsiliation to span for much longer than it need be, she'd need to suck it up and talk to him first.
Thinking, Why the hell not? Lily shot out of her comfortable position on her bed, ignored the looks of her concerned roommates, and proceeded to make her way to the boys side of the dorms. Hesitantly, she knocked on the door of the one he knew she shared, hoping that he wouldn't in is anger, actually slam the door in her face.
