What is your take on chitti babu in rangasthalam ?
ok first of all he would take one look at Bheem and adopt him right then and there, I think I've talked about my Chittibabu and Bheem best friends agenda before
but moving on he's one of those characters that seems one-dimensional in theory but is actually really complex
i think the focus of his love for his brother was super interesting, the fact that he was essentially a side character in his own story yet held his own is a testament to sukumar's writing and charan's acting
i don't like the way he treats Ramalakshmi, but it also kind of makes sense for his character, especially the dialogue where he's like "if you love me as much as I love my brother I'll marry you" or something, because even then the focus is on his brother, his baseline of love itself is the way he feels for his brother
he's innocent but not naive, stubborn but not super bull-headed, and foolish but not stupid
i just love the way his character is written a lot, especially the way his arc shifts throughout the story from just wanting to support his brother through any means necessary to wanting to kill Dakshina Murthy by any means necessary, even if it means having to set his revenge aside and take care of a comatose patient for an entire year
and of course Charan's acting is incredible, and even after RRR I'll say Rangasthalam was his best performance, when I see Chittibabu I don't see Charan I just see the character and that's amazing
