Thomas Astruc Newest Interview:

Thomas Astruc and Zag recently had an interview which they talked about things from season 6 specials and so on…

I am not 100% sure how official they are, so, don’t take this 100% seriously.

Spoilers below:

1- Vesperia isn’t forgotten by the writters.

They said that she hasn’t appeared in any posters yet because her model isn’t complete, and that she is important, and that the team does care about her…

(Wow, the team cares about Zoe/Vesperia? The girl that they added in season 4 and threw under the bus the moment they got rid of Queen Bee? The girl that didn’t even get a Kitty Noir transformation? The girl whose plot in Representation about getting a girlfriend that I forgot the name was deleted due to the runtime? Keep telling your lies, Astruc… keep telling your lies…).

(No, I don’t agree with the hate she gets. I like Zoe. But Astruc saying he cares about her, even after all he did is a bit… annoying to me).

2- The Japan Special is the next one:

They haven’t confirmed anything, but, since Zag said that Lady Tiger will be very important, cause she will be their first hero with cancer, and that we will meet her very soon, it’s very clear that this teasing indicates Japan special is next. And Rio Special is forgotten once again (wow, as a Brazillian, “thanks”, Thomas).

(I am also worried about how they will handle cancer, considering they didn’t even make what Rose’s sickness clear).

3- Samg won’t be returning:

Yeah, that’s it. Their lost work is the London Special. The artstyle will change, and they will try to keep the animating on France only due to the leaks.

4- Season 6 will be filled with hints that the audience will look with new eyes on Season 7:

They said that, once we start seeing season 7, out view on season 6 will change completely, and that these hints will be bombastic.

(right, they are “very good” with foreshadowing. And by “foreshadowing” I mean either blatant teasing for future events, or retcons).

5- They are considering a Live Action for Miraculous… again:

They said they still need to rethink and see if their budget can handle it… I hope not, it would be probably really bad with bad CGI.

6- Other Magical Creatures:

They said that there probably are other magical creatures besides kwamis and renlings out there.

(wow, we barely know 10% of the kwamis that exist, and they want to create more magical creature. I will just say I hate when people create more and more elements before flashing out their older ones. It’s lazy, it leaves many questions open and, summing up, just not nice).

7- The reason why Lila has become a villain and wants the miraculi was already revealed:

They said that they have already left enough hints to why Lila has become the new Hawk Moth, it’s just that we, the audience, didn’t pay enough attention to it.

(I wonder this time what will be the retcon. Lila is as old as Master Fu and is a rebel from the Order of Guardians? She is Manon from the future? Either way, I doubt it will be convincing. Except if it is that she is an orphan that wants her parents back).

8- Thomas Astruc already created many miraculous AUs:

Yeah, even the show’s own creator likes to make AUs about it. His favorite one is where Ladybug is similar to Sailor Moon and she leads her own super hero team. In this AU, there is also no romance.

(I wonder if any of his AUs are better than the canon he writes).

9- The Melody Movie I back on production I guess:

Zag explained about the movie synopsis, which is about a girl needing to learn how to trust herself with the power of music (yes, it’s pretty generic), and the main character will be voiced by Katy Perry.

10- Chloe will be back:

And no, she won’t be getting a redemption. Astruc said that they try to write their characters on a logical way, so that they are consistent. And, no matter how hard they try, they found no way of Chloe regretting her actions and be like “Oh, Marinette, I was so mean to you!”, so, it doesn’t matter what he wants, it’s Chloe’s fault she doesn’t want to get better…

(I am not even a Chloe stan and this angers me beyond relief. First, they try to write their characters with consistence. WHEN? ‘Kagami’s friendship with Lila, Felix’s redemption, the whole amok plot, anything related to Lila on season 5, the fact they changed why Marinette broke up with Luka, the concept of the bee’ are anything but consistent. And say that Chloe can’t get a redemption? There are many ways for a character to get a redemption. Amity and Hunter from Owl House, Peridot and Lapis from SU, Sasha from Amphibia, and Zuko from Avatar all got a redemption. If you guys don’t want to give her a redemption, fine, but don’t try this whole “she can’t”, she is a character! And you guys are writing her!)

(Also, bringing Chloe back? I though you guys were trying to break the formula with the season 5’s wish, not go back to it).

11- The Story will change:

Not because of a reboot or anything, they just want to make it more serious and gradual.

(No comments here).

12- The Team has ideas for how 12 series of miraculous would be like:

They know for sure the 6, 7, 8 and 9 arc, and are also still unsure of what to do with the opening.

(12 seasons… when shows like Steven Universe gets 5, the Owl House gets 3, and many others get only 1).

13- Andre will get a redemption arc:

Thomas said that, unlike Chloe, he clearly wants to change, and the scene in Collution was a big character point for him. They also want to, someway, somehow, tell about his and Gabriel’s backstory someday.

14- Fun Facts:

The Supreme (the bad guy from Shadybug’s universe), will make a comeback at the series; Zoe’s crush at Marinette was due to love at first sight at the bakery (I think this is cute); the writers love Rolland because he was inspired by Thomas grandfather (and Simplifier is their favorite episode due to this fact); Akumatized!Marinette is a possibility; the writing for season 6 is at is peak, and a better version of season 5 (wonder which criminal boy will be redeemed and which girl won’t get the same treatment and be sent to live with her abusive parent).

15- The whole story we saw until now is only 5% of all he showed Zag when he pitched the show:

You heard that right, miraculous has still 95% of stories to give to us.

(I know that Superheroes usually have many arcs and stories they face, but that’s mostly because they are usually on comic format. I am not sure if it’s worth telling so many stories in a cartoon series).

You know what I hate what Thomas is doing?

Now, I’m going to start by saying this; whether if you are a Chloe fan or not, Chloe was ALWAYS a brat and a mean person. I’m not going to deny that, and she DOES deserve to get called out on it. Being a bully is Chloe’s character. Whether if she was ever meant to get a redemption or not. THAT’S who she is, at least that’s what she was meant to be in the beginning. 

However, 

She DID have a least a little bit of development as the series progressed throughout season 2. She also at least has a little bit of redeeming qualities about herself. Yes, she was bad, but she wasn’t always. Also, people don’t change in one day, which could explain why she went back and forth with her attitude in season 2. It’s hard to change what you’ve been for years, especially if people have enabled you without consequence. 

However, the one thing that I CANNOT stand about S4!Chloe is that some of things that she’s doing now…she simply would NOT do. It feels so out of place and OOC now. I mean yeah, you COULD say that it’s because she’s starting to be taken off her high pedestal and she’s starting to lose things, but I don’t know. It doesn’t feel natural and feels more like bad writing.

You see, when Chloe is OOC, I don’t only mean “Chloe would never do that because she got development!”. What I also mean is “Even season 1 Chloe would never do that!”. Chloe probably did terrible things, but even SHE had her limits, with or without her “development”, despite showing an actual WANT to save people, to fix her mistakes and to actually WANT to improve for Ladybug, Adrien, and her mother. You’re not going to tell me that she never cared about anything else other than her ego and herself. I’m not saying that Chloe was innocent, but there’s just some things that even she wouldn’t have done.

Pushing a whole family in the way of an akuma.

Putting Sabrina in a closest to do her homework (and Sabrina actually going along with that AND completely dedicating her life to be Chloe’s guinea pig, but I digress). 

Only seeing her father as a cash cow and not actually loving him.

The show/canon making it VERY CLEAR on screen that Lila is most likely worse than Chloe.

Getting an UBER FIT over a movie.

Hating EVERYONE (including Adrien, her father and even her own sister) for just simply not getting her way.

Wanting for Adrien to be kicked out of school so he won’t have no social life, only being with her (it’s not even for HIS benefit, it’s more for HERS).

Managing to get her own sister kicked out of a special event, despite ANDRE HIMSELF getting development!

And I know what your thinking, she probably would of did half of these things at some point, but only IN SEASON 1! It’s just…dumb. SO dumb. 

Yes, Chloe still did awful things, but not like this. She GOTTEN development, so she shouldn’t have even said or did half of these things. Anything bad done to Chloe at this point is just there to make her look worse (or to make Zoe look better, even though she has no real development or depth yet). 

The point is, what makes me mad about what Thomas is doing is that yes, Chloe was a terrible person, but she DID have redeemable qualities and tried to change, even if it was at least a little bit. But now this dude wants to throw it all away and deny any of the development that SHE DID have ever existed (or even switch it all around to make Chloe worse than she actually is) just because of his own experiences or whatever🤦‍♀️ Yes, some people don’t change, but the way he and the team handled it was NOT GOOD.

If you’re going to sell us on the fact that Chloe, a 14 YEAR OLD teen/child, was always meant to be a horrible person, that she “isn’t human”, then:

DON’T GIVE HER REEMABLE QUALITIES (and yes, I know being a terrible person and having nice moments every now and then CAN coexist in someone, but it’s the way you HANDLE IT).

Do so while NOT making it SO OOC that it’s noticeable.

DONT GIVE HER A MIRACULOUS!

Seriously. This is crazy, and I don’t like it at all. I hope season 5 will do some closure for the girl. She’s just a teen. I KNOW that her upbringing isn’t an excuse for her actions, but still. Chloe has so much wasted potential (AND this is coming from a Marinette and Sabrina fan, the biggest victims of her bullying) 🤦‍♀️

Blog’s Explanation

This blog is about: My prompts that have some connection to Miraculous in some way or another. It includes crossovers, AUs and so on. I accept prompts from others.

My opinions on Miraculous:

- I am Adrien Neutral, which means I don’t agree with lots of his actions in the show, but I do think the writers could put some more effort in developing his character, instead of acting like he is always in the right.

- I do believe Marinette deserves better, but this doesn’t mean I don’t think some of her actions can be seen as problematic.

- I am Chloe neutral, which means I do believe the writers did her dirty, but I don’t pat her head and believe her actions as a bully were right. Just because she had trauma, this doesn’t mean she can do whatever she wants.

- I think people hate too much on the rabbit miraculous (my favorite miraculous). Some small fixes would create really interesting episodes. Time Travel has been shown in media in interesting ways before, Miraculous just executed it poorly.

- I have no opinions on Lila, since she is just a plot device the writers use to make their plots make more sense (most of times, not working, to be honest).

- Same for Zoe Lee. Using Aurore as the new bee would have the same impact as Zoe’s existence.

- I respect anyone’s opinions on this fandom, as LONG AS YOU EXPRESS IT HEALTHLY WITHOUT OFFENDING SOMEONE ELSE.

- I liked Alya’s character on the first seasons, but her invasive nature in hero related themes, her constant pressure for Love Square to happen and her believing Lila without any proof made me be a bit annoyed for the character. I like her character in Scarlet Lady AU, but canon? Nope!

- Sabrina is one of my favorite miraculous characters because of the potential she has, but I recognize her behavior in Canon is problematic, and the writers should decide once and for all if she is a sheep or another wolf.

- I am not a Love Square Shipper.

- Don’t respect my opinions? Just stay away from my blog. Do your part in making this fandom less toxic.

As much as I wished Chloe had a better redemption arc, and the reason for her bad upbringing IS understandable, I still think that fans (mainly Chloe stans) still need to understand that Chloe’s redemption was meant to teach her how to atone for her mistakes and become a better person. It’s for her to grow and realize that her actions are wrong. It’s NOT just for her to get “brownie points” for doing the bare minimum, catering to her, enabling her and pretend that Chloe was never a bully.

THAT’S the whole point of her redemption. You guys want people to praise her for her growth, but then forget what made her grow in the first place???? I’m not saying that Chloe doesn’t deserve credit when it’s due and I’m not telling you that you can’t enjoy liking characters, but I’m just don’t like it when people defend Chloe for the wrong reasons. Chloe DOES deserve better, but not because she was never a bully and the writers misinterpreted her character when it comes to that.

Listen, Chloe was always meant to be a bully. However, that doesn’t mean she would ALWAYS mean to be a bully, I have to agree, regardless of what the writers and Thomas thinks. Chloe was wasted, from true character depth to true redemption. There’s no doubt. However, that doesn’t mean everything about her character was wrong.

Yes, due to subtext, Chloe was on her way to redeeming. No, Chloe was never innocent.

Reminders before following MiraculousBeezCentral

The purpose of me creating this blog was completely out of satisfaction and "filling the holes" that the show failed to do for me (and even for others!). I created this blog to explore different kinds of bee heroes, scenarios, create AUs, to celebrate characters that don't get enough love in the show, some ships, memes, and to generally have fun. The purpose of this blog wasn't to bash characters outright, but some criticisms about some characters might come up on this blog every now and then. Basically, no character is safe from criticism on this blog. So expect that.

I'm Chloe Bourgeois/Queen Bee neutral. Look, I can relate to Chloe. I understand why Chloe is the way she is. I love the potential that Chloe can have. I love Chloe's style and I also think that Chloe can change. However, I'm not going to cater to Chloe and justify what she's done IN SHOW to other characters, especially to characters that I like. The way the writers choose to handle Chloe's character and growth is the problem, not the fact that she's written as a bully in general. I pity Chloe, but that does not mean I'm going to give her a free pass to treat everyone that isn't Adrien on her mother like garbage. Her upbringing is a reason, not an excuse. I understand why Chloe grew up to be the she is IN SHOW. It's not entirely her fault. However that does not mean that I agree with the way she handles it. That is that. When it comes to Chloe and her character, it's not going to be black and white with me. It's a grey area. Don't like that? Fine, you are free to unfollow me or block me, but I have the right to my opinion.

I didn’t only created this blog for myself, I created it to make friends and have others enjoy it too.

Constructive criticism and opinions of all kind are allowed. We can talk and you are free to send me anything that you want, but just remember that we should respect each other and not be rude to each other. We are not always going to think the same way and that's okay. We should be civil to each other. If you don’t agree with this, then it’s probably best if you don’t involve yourself with my blog.

Yes, I am a Scarlet Lady fan. No, I don't agree with everything Zoe chooses to do with it. YES, these two things can co exist with each other. AUs are supposed to explore the different possibilities of different universes. It's fun. I don't have to agree with everything that Zoe does to enjoy her content. I can still like Chloe while still liking Scarlet Lady. Yes, she doesn't want Chloe to redeem in her comic, but that's her right. It's her comic and she can do anything that she wants. I don't have the right to tell people what to think or how to feel. Don't like that? You can unfollow me or block me. I'm not going to be bias just so I can defend Chloe and make Chloe fans feel better.

I didn't make this blog only for Chloe content. I made it for all possible bee heroes. YES, that includes Sabrina, and YES, that also includes "Mary-Sue Zoe". Chloe is not the main character nor is she the only character that I’m interested in.

No I do not support Thomas. No I do not like Thomas. And yes I think the show suffers from severe bad writing.

I used to be a Chloe hater in the past, but I'm not anymore. Please notice the difference before going off.

I'm a Marinette, Adrien, Alya and Sabrina fan. I'm NEUTRAL on Chloe. I'm NEUTRAL on Zoe. I'm a ANTI Lila, Gabriel, Natalie fan. I dislike most adults in the show. Don't like that? You are free to unfollow me or block me. But these are my choices and my opinions. Accept it or don't, but I'm not going to be forced to change my opinion just to like or dislike characters in the way that YOU want me to.

Whether people are obligated to help Chloe or not depends on what you mean by "help". At the very least, they are obligated to pray for Chloe, just like people are obligated to pray for their enemies.

People aren’t obligated to do anything that they don’t want to.

If people want to pray for people like Chloe, then that’s their belief and their decision, but you can’t force EVERYONE to care or pray for a terrible person, especially if they personally done them harm. I don’t judge or speak for other bully/abuse victims, this is why I said this. Others go through different kinds of struggles different ways, and they experience them different ways too. You can’t MAKE someone care or pray for their enemies, bullies or abusers. 

Some will do it on their own, and some will just do it because they can’t help it. They feel like that they are obligated to pray for them like you said, but there ARE some people out there who have been hurt by others and due to that, they can’t feel any sympathy about them. That’s the reality of it.

As much as I do relate to Chloe and feel that her character was wasted potential, when people say she’s an irredeemable character or overrated, I don’t blame them for saying it. She can grow to do great things, but that doesn’t mean people are obligated to forgive her, because she still bullied a lot of people in the past and did terrible things. It’s just like if that one person in highschool who made your life a living hell all your years there, but then use the “I was a kid” excuse to justfiy their bullying, when they are suposed to be “reedemed” now.

 Do I think Chloe and kids like her are reedemable? OF COURSE! Their kids! But you can’t help someone who doesn’t wanna be helped, and you can’t force someone put up or deal with terrible behavoir. I personally think that the adults in her life failed her and I think there are worser characters in the show, but it is what it is now. 

This is just my opinion anyways, so please don’t try to get TOO offensive guys.
