🐝Chloe Bourgeois/Queen Bee In Bee-Exceptional🐝

For starters, all of Chloe’s character development is still intact. She’s still bratty, but all of her development is still there, instead of it being reconed out of existence.

Because of this, Miracle Queen happens a bit differently. Chloe shows moments of sincerity and doubt as Miracle Queen. Towards the end, even though she does almost help Hawkmoth succeed in the end, she turns sides at the last minute. Unfortunately though, the events (Ladybug & Chat Noir being trapped in a corner, Master Fu making Marinette the new guardian etc.) still transpired.

Ladybug was close to penamently kicking Chloe off the hero team, but with some thought, she decides to just temporarily kick her off the team until she feels like Chloe is trust worthy again. However, she does bring up that if a better choice comes along, she’ll have to take it. Even though angry, Chloe…understands a bit more. She’s not as angry as she was in canon, but still angry.

Also, Pollen actually shows a bit disappointment. And this time, knowing it’s a big possibility that she won’t get the bee miraculous again, she says an actual genuine goodbye. From that day on, Pollen’s mostly the same in canon, but there’s always that thought in the back of her mind about Chloe.

So like I’ve said above, Chloe has more of a chance at redemption than implied in Queen Banana. Chloe does show some moments of redeemable qualities, but the others are basically done with trying to help her because…sometimes, a couple of good deeds/moments for a bully is NOT good enough to say that they aren’t a bad person. The fact of the matter is…Chloe’s a bully, and people aren’t obligated to help her (MAYBE the adults that failed her, but that’s a different story for another day). So now it’s just whatever. If she changes, kudos for her. If not, oh well? 🤷‍♀️ But almost everyone is tried of this “will she, won’t she” game with her.

So with that said, almost every one of Chloe’s peers is a bit more short with her, even Adrien. However, Sabrina is still “friends” with her. Why? Similar to Zoe’s reasons, but I will go more in detail about BE!Sabrina in the future on her own post.

Chloe and Adrien’s “friendship breakup” in Queen Banana is a little more complex than in canon. Chloe is not upset because Adrien doesn’t think the same way as she does about the movie outright, she’s upset because she feels like he choose other people over HER, the person that stood by Adrien when he didn’t have anyone else. Even though Adrien did take that in consideration, he still felt strongly about his new friends, the movie and the way Chloe was acting towards everyone, even her own sister. Do to Chloe’s words, Adrien is still technically friends with Chloe, but he made it pretty clear that he’s done with her crap. He doesn’t really coddle her anymore and doesn’t make as much excuses for her.

Chloe has more of a complex and complicated relationship with her sister Zoe, unlike canon where she simply just hates her sister because she’s not like her or kisses her foot. They’ve known of each other before the series began and they were a bit closer.

For this Chloe, she basically would have to lose everything to truly change…

Chloe actually cares for people in her life despite her actions. She loves her dad and mom to pieces. She cares about Adrien and even Pollen, but Sabrina…..she uses her more than she cares (sorry, don’t @ me). Even though there has been some good moments between them, Chloe doesn’t really understand how true female friendships work. This is why she usually has more true male friends than female friends. Any girl who isn’t her sister, she doesn’t do well with.

This is probably part of the reason why she doesn’t like Marinette.

And while we’re on the topic, BE!Chloe has numerous reasons why she and Marinette don’t get along well: they clash in personality, Chloe is jealous because Marinette has the prefect drama free family while she doesn’t, Chloe isn’t good with females outside of her sister, she sometimes fears that she’ll take Adrien “away from her”, Marinette’s sometimes stalkerish ways, Marinette’s a bully victim who stands up for herself etc. I might come up with more as I go along. I just want more complex reasons for Chloe’s actions, not just simply “she’s a bully” all the time.

I don’t know if I’ll add this permanently or not, but I was thinking of Chloe having a crush on Ladybug and a bit of attraction to Marinette. If this happens, then it will be confirmed that Chloe is a closest Lesbian (or a least Bi with a preference for girls). This also could be another reason why she doesn’t work well with girls? Because she denies it more than anything?

She, Zoe, Adrien and Felix were a lot closer in this AU, as they were all childhood friends at one point. They used to play together, eat together and many other things. However, ever since Zoe moved away, Chloe grew a bit distant with her and Felix. However, her and Adrien was still close to each other, so they were able to stay friends, even if Chloe could attend school, but Adrien couldn’t. This is also the case with Felix and Adrien. They are still considered “close”.

Also, they called theirselves something like “the rich blond twin club”. I don’t know lol Something cute/silly.

Chloe did have a pet poodle while growing up 🐩 However, it ran away 🥺 if course it was a BIG deal, as Andre hired people to look for him, but it was no success. Odds that someone might’ve adopted him.

Believe it or not, Chloe and Marinette used to be friends. However due to the many favors that I’ve already stated above, Chloe suddenly broke off her friendship with Marinette one day. Then in about a year or two, she started to outright bully her.

While we’re on it, Chloe actually used to be much sweeter as a little kid. Yes, she was still a spoiled brat, but she was 5, give her a break lol! However, once again, due to her past and those factors above, she started to get worse.

Chloe has an allergy in this AU: cat fur. This is part of the reason why she isn’t that much into cats.

🐝Zoe Lee/Vesperia In Bee-Exceptional🐝

Mr. Lee isn’t Zoe’s biological father now, he’s her step father and Andrey’s ex-husband. So her full name is Zoe Lee-Bourgeois. Zoe wanted to go by that name too because she actually cares about her step dad.

Zoe is more honest and straightfoward in this AU. However, despite this, she doesn’t tell Chloe everything that happens in her life because she knows what Chloe goes through in her life. She doesn’t want to use her sister as a emotional dumpster.

Zoe also tends to show a new cool and laidback traits every now and then.

Zoe equally shows a stronger passion for acting and different kinds of art than in canon (because people have the right to have similar interest with someone).

It’s been confirmed that Zoe is very athletic, but being an athlete is not her dream.

These new traits explains more why she’s so up to par with the new role of the superhero despite it being her first time.

Also, she’s a bit different as Vesperia. Vesperia is more confident in herself and her abilities, which is why she’s a bit more headstrong in battle.

Despite her new traits though, Zoe remains sweet and a bit insecure. 

Zoe has a confirmed crush on both Marinette and Luka, making her Bi/Pan.

Mr. Cuddles was a custom made stuffed bear that was given to both Zoe and Chloe to share. Before Andrey and Zoe left for New York, Zoe gave Chloe Mr. Cuddles to “have another friend while she’s gone”.

Also to let you guys know, Andrey and Andre have gotten a divorce before the series began. Zoe went with her mom to New York and Chloe stayed with Andre in Paris. Andrey then married Mr. Lee, but they broken up 2 years before the series began. It was Zoe’s wish and idea to want to move back home with her sister.

Zoe has a good relationship with her father, but as much as she did want to stay with him, she wanted to move to Paris to have a fresh start, which she did, even though her and her sister aren’t on the best terms right now.

Zoe has a extreme fear of roaches, since she was often bullied with them.

Zoe was also bullied for other reasons other than trying to fit in or because she didn’t act like a bully.

One of the reasons why Zoe was bullied is in a little more of a “grey” area rather than “black and white”. Zoe’s honesty and straightforwardness might’ve gotten her more into a bad situations amongst the students. Sometimes, kids are sensitive, but cruel. Kids often misjudge, and Zoe being the way she is lead them to think that Zoe thought she was “better” than them. I’m not saying their bullying was justified, but understandable.

Other reasons for her bullies bullying her was because Zoe was seen as “the prefect girl & student” amongst her peers. She was very talented, was good with art, was part of the theater/drama club at school, good grades etc., so they were not only jealous, but again assumed that Zoe thought that she was better than everyone else.

Whether people are obligated to help Chloe or not depends on what you mean by "help". At the very least, they are obligated to pray for Chloe, just like people are obligated to pray for their enemies.

People aren’t obligated to do anything that they don’t want to.

If people want to pray for people like Chloe, then that’s their belief and their decision, but you can’t force EVERYONE to care or pray for a terrible person, especially if they personally done them harm. I don’t judge or speak for other bully/abuse victims, this is why I said this. Others go through different kinds of struggles different ways, and they experience them different ways too. You can’t MAKE someone care or pray for their enemies, bullies or abusers. 

Some will do it on their own, and some will just do it because they can’t help it. They feel like that they are obligated to pray for them like you said, but there ARE some people out there who have been hurt by others and due to that, they can’t feel any sympathy about them. That’s the reality of it.

As much as I do relate to Chloe and feel that her character was wasted potential, when people say she’s an irredeemable character or overrated, I don’t blame them for saying it. She can grow to do great things, but that doesn’t mean people are obligated to forgive her, because she still bullied a lot of people in the past and did terrible things. It’s just like if that one person in highschool who made your life a living hell all your years there, but then use the “I was a kid” excuse to justfiy their bullying, when they are suposed to be “reedemed” now.

 Do I think Chloe and kids like her are reedemable? OF COURSE! Their kids! But you can’t help someone who doesn’t wanna be helped, and you can’t force someone put up or deal with terrible behavoir. I personally think that the adults in her life failed her and I think there are worser characters in the show, but it is what it is now. 

This is just my opinion anyways, so please don’t try to get TOO offensive guys.

A lot of people say that Chloe can only change if she hits “rock bottom”. Not sure if I’m convinced because Chloe already did a lot of heroic things on the show without hitting rock bottom. But it has to come AFTER Chloe realises that she has all the support she needs in her life NOT before. It’s better for her mental health that way. And I’m not sure Chloe does have the support she needs. A responsible adult (or someone who comes close to it) should step in.

You do make some good points!

Just keep in mind though that I’m still developing and improving these AUs, so they can change at any time!
